Maggies first encounter pt 1

The truth of the matter was when Maggie took the job as Bruce Wayne's personal assistant he believed that it was going to be rather easy after all she was going to be working for the lazy good for nothing playboy millionaire that did nothing but sleep around and chuck his money around like it was rubbish...at least that's what the tabloids always said. She soon found out that they were so far off it wasn't even funny.

The first thing Maggie did as she arrived at her new desk was familiarise herself with the previous assistants filing system, though she soon realised that wasn't going to be possible as it was horrendous. So she spent the first few hours at work fixing it. As she pulled up the electronic calendar, she true dreaded what she would find after the mess she just spent forever fixing. But what she found was a pleasant surprise, unlike her previous employers, who kept two calenders one for work-life and one for private life, but Bruce was different he kept one that keeps all aspects of his life. Maggie was happy with this, after all, it made her life easier. As she had a proper look at the week ahead it brought a smile to her lips and a wave of affection for the older man that she wasn't quite sold on yet.

Monday-9am-Ignore all calls from the Kents unless it's Lane I don't want to be killed.

Tuesday-11am- Don't schedule anything I have to call Queen...it could take a while.
Tuesday-3pm-Coffee with daily plant guy, I don't want to go he annoying make an excuse.

Wednesday-9am-House inspection stupid child services trying to take my kids...again.
Wednesday-12pm-Alfred Birthday gift.
Wednesday-2pm-Lex wants this spot do anything but that (Ill even meet up with Clark)

Thursday-3pm-Diana wants her money back, for that thing. 

Friday-9pm-Date with that model? (Is it a model?) (What is her NAME?)

Maggie could officially say it was the quirkiest calendar she had ever laid eyes one.

these reminders overlapped business meetings, security constitutions, conference calls and any other important business he had to schedule in. His schedule was filled from morning to night and filled in months in advance. It was really no wonder he used it as his own personal sticky note. He was so busy he would probably end up losing any physical ones. How he honestly finds time to do everything and raise a family was a miracle. 

The concept of it all managed to give her an idea of how to effectively help her boss stay organised with everything. Using the notes section of the electronic calendar she was able to give any extra details he needed and it linked back to the writing he already put on the calendar himself. Like with the 'daily planet guy' if he ever decided to actually go to coffee with him. She could give him details on when and where the driver would pick him up. Along with that Diana Prince finally got her money back after months of waiting, thanks to the previous assistant. 

A week after her first set of notes Bruce thanked her. He walked up to my desk and said "Thank you, for the notes last week. I have honestly never had an assistant who have kept me so organised" I just smiled before replying "No need for thanks, It's my job Mr Wayne" He smiles bright and genuinely "Call me Bruce please, Mrs Smith"  My heart swelled, I regret everything I once thought about him before. My smile brightened and I nodded "Okay call me Maggie" he nodded and almost walked off when he paused and said, "Marketing wants to do a press release on Thursday, can you squeeze them in for a 30 minute debrief today?" I pull up the calendar to have a look, I can put them in after Kork industry business call and 'send Lois Lane anonymous roses (to piss Clark off) sure the second wasn't a meeting but according to Bruce, it was very important. He was looking at his phone when I looked up but as soon as I started talking he looked at me "I can fit them in after the Kork call, but before Miss Lane's roses" he smile and said "Thank you, Maggie," before leaving

I can't help but feel accomplished in life after all im only nineteen and I have been working for Bruce for just over 3 months.
