Bat-Family Oneshots

You're a dad?

I know all my stories have been that Bruce is a great dad and the 4 boys are brothers but I had a real fluffy idea that involves two of the boys calling dick dad instead. Based after Batman got trapped in time...but he back so it fine plus he not even really in it except for a quick mention.

It was a calm normal evening at the mountain. Everyone was just sitting around the living room relaxing and enjoying each others company. Conner was transfixed by the static on the TV, Wally and Artemis were arguing, M'gann was reading her cookbook trying to work out what went wrong in her latest batch of cookies, Nightwing was typing away at something on his laptop and Kaldur was observing.

It had been a relatively quiet day for the team when the sound of someones comm went off. Nightwing brought his hand up to his ear and said "Nightwing here" it went quiet again as he listened to the other end "Yeah sure thing just make sure they take the stuff" no one said anything about the com call as the room fell back into comfortable silence except for the squabbling of Wally and Artemis.

it wasn't until they heard the feminine voice of the computer call out

 "Recognizing Robin-08" 

the team turned a questioning gaze towards Nightwing who didn't react. Their confusion only  grew when a young but superior voice called out "Father?" Nightwing smirked at the shocked faces of his team and replied: "In here". A few moments later a boy with black ebony hair who looked to be no older than 8 appeared at the doorway"

He was wearing a Robin uniform that seemed to be very similar to Nightwings original uniform except for the younger boy seems to have more black, were as Nightwing's had green. Nightwing smiled at the younger boy and beckoned him forward. Robin timidly came forward and looked at the ground to avoid the questioning gazes of the older teens. Once Nightwing closed his laptop and put it on the coffee table, he pulled the boy into his lap. he started stroking his hair as the youngster curled into his body and said: "Well, Jay said you wanted to come why's that?".

Meanwhile, the team was still trying to comprehend the idea that the youngest member of the team had a son. "Agent A is on vacation visiting his sister, Batman is at another meeting and Red and Hood were being annoying" Nightwing smiled softly then the boy added much quieter "And I missed you" Nightwing chuckled fondly as he pulled the boy closer, Robin, on the other hand, snuggled closer into the olders chest and closed his eyes as Nightwing continued to run a hand through the ebony strands.

The team could do nothing more than stare at the younger boy, Nightwing's son, Nightwing had a son? how? How is that even possible? so many questions were running through there heads and wally was about to answer when...

The computerized voice once again sounded 

"Recognizing Red Robin-09 "

 Nightwing once again wasted no time to answer the timid call of "Daddy?". Another boy who was only a few years older then Robin came into the room wearing a uniform very similar to robins except the fact that it had a lot more red in it, probably giving his the name red robin. 

Nightwing didn't even question the boy when he climbed up onto the couch next to him and tucked himself between Nightwing's arm and body. A small soft smile graced the features of the older boy. 

The team, on the other hand, were dying, on the other hand, Wally once again went to ask some questions when yet again the computer announced an arrival

"Recognizing Red Hod-10"

The team sort of expected to hear another person call out dad but instead heard a voice say "Oi wing?" Nightwing grinned "In the living room" he responded. A boy wearing a similar suit as Nightwing except it had red instead of blue, had a biker jacket over it and a red mask came through the door, carrying a bag on his back. "Hey bro, brought the stuff" Nightwing nodded qnd was about to reply when Wally said "Dude you have kids?" he instant was shushed and Nightwing said with a sigh "Let me and Hood put the boys in my room and then ill answer your questions, ok?" with a nod Nightwing said again "Hood can you pick up Red?" the boy nodded and moved into position before picking the sleeping boy into his arms. Nightwing stood up holding Robin and both teens left the room.

The team waited about ten minutes and Nightwing and Red Hood walked back into the room changed out of the uniform now wearing civis and black shades. they sat down and turned to the group. Wally asked his question once again but this time received a soft laugh "Before Batman went missing he fostered Red Robin and Robin is his biological son. I helped raise them and was like a mother figure I guess you could say" Nightwing paused and Red hood took over "When Betsy went missing Agent A was forced to take guardianship over the boys or they would be put in the system and we couldn't have that. But when Nightwing turned 18 a couple months later he took over Guardianship the boys already saw him as a father figure and well started calling him as such, so wing decided to adopt them" the team didn't know how to reply so M'gann said, "How come we have never met them before?" Nightwing chuckled "Because we are busy, when Bats was missing I had to hand over my city to my younger brother here and I put on the cowl see Gotham can't live without Batman on top of that I was still leader here and going on missions and trying to defeat the light while not killing anyone. raising two boys making sure Hood here doesn't end up in jail. Doing school work and working" Wally gasped "How are you still standing?" Nightwing shrugged "It wasn't easy, but Batman is back and now all I have to worry about is playing Batman 3 times a week because Robin is my partner and Red Robin partners with my dad. I also finished school, I work while four days a week all my hours are while the boys are at school. Red Hood and I share the responsibility of Baldhaven and while im on missions with you guys the boys are either on there own or are spending time with the rest of the family" 

"I can't imagine what it was like for you!" Artemis exclaims.
