" You forgot your phone , " Luci Moore said as she handed it over to her cousin Nicole Duncan. Nicole reached for it and as she felt it in her hand she saw her.
Her old friend Tina Green standing just a rock's throw from both of them...... Tina who had a gun ..... a gun pointed right at them !

On the school bus Theodore texted Alan to see how the first day back at Barrington had really been for him. Then , almost instinctively , the fourteen year old boy felt his eyes being drawn towards the window and to Luci.
( " So much unspoken " )
" Fucking snitch ! , " Tina yelled meanly just as Luci looked at the sound of the girl's voice and the bus driver hollered at Luci to get back on the bus now. Theodore clutched his phone tightly as he stood up and began to walk down the bus aisle towards the front door. He had the sudden desire to be near Luci. To protect her........
( " Echoes Cried. " )
As Tina pulled the trigger of her gun in a nearby driveway Susan Mullins stepped out of her car with young Spence Mullins in the backseat in his car seat , Nicole stepped in front of Luci , Luci tried to pull Nicole back to the school bus and Theodore got to the still opened bus doors........
