This is Lynda Lopez with a breaking news story that is still early developing at the present time.
We have received word of a private plane registered to Volkouv Enterprises having gone off the original flight path and crashed in a heavily forested area off of Washington D.C's Rock Creek Park. The MPD has arrived at the crash site as have fire and medical services. The MPD is coordinating search and rescue efforts with the FAA , the NTSB and the National Park Service for the occupants of the plane which are presumed to be ,from the flight plan , a pilot , a co pilot , a flight attendant , Mr. Nicholas Volkouv himself and his new wife Ariel Volkouva. There is no word on exactly why the plane crashed but there were reports of a very freak bout of wind and rain that moved through the plane's travel area. Mechanical failure can not be ruled out however.
Nicholas Volkouv is the chairman of the board , CEO and president of Greenbelt based Volkouv Enterprises and his new wife Ariel is a well known interior decorator and owner of Kendall Creations.
