When Justin Duncan woke up that morning the first thing he realized was that he wasn't in his own bedroom at home. He was actually frightened at first until he rolled over in the double bed and saw the other face looking at him with varying emotions on his attractive pale face. Then memories of the last night started flooding into his groggy head.
Dancing to several songs with B.J. Van Owen including his favorite Rebel song " You are You ( And that's beautiful ).
Going back to B.J.'s one bedroom apartment near campus in Montgomery county to listen to music and talk about school, books , hobbies, pretty everything they could think of for hours.
Kissing B.J. B.J. kissing him back.
Giving each other numerous hand jobs before falling asleep in his bed with their arms wrapped around each other.
Justin smiled slightly. " Hi. "
B.J. smiled back shyly. " Hi. "
Justin yawned and sat up stretching his arms. " Ok. I don't usually do this, you know. I mean come back to strange guys apartments and.... well you know. Not that you're strange or anything. You know what I mean. "
B.J. sat up and flushed red in the face, averting his gaze from Justin's. " I.... I understand. I don't either. But I had fun. "
Justin's smile grew wider. " Me too.
" So..... do you want to do this again? Sometimes? Only you know next time we can maybe eat pizza or something? If you want? "
Justin thought this guy was just adorable especially the cute blush on his cheeks and forehead as he talked and the bashful look in his eyes when he did glance at him.
" Sure. Why not? Tomorrow night? We have a history class together. We can study too. "
B.J. grinned. " Yeah. We can. And, we'll order in door dash or GrubHub. What's your favorite food? "
Before Justin could answer B.J.'s phone rang and he answered it, saying," Hello, Father. "
Buckley Van Owen shot out tersely," Been trying to get in touch with you, Junior. Look. I want you to show up on Sunday at the Hyattsville Community Center for a meet and greet with the residents. The whole family is going to be there. Your mother. Your sister. And , I also asked Natalie Lowen , Chad and Claire Lowen's niece, to come as your date. "
" Father, I don't even know her," B.J. whispered in a low voice so Justin didn't hear him. But he did and the Black young man froze in the bed beside B.J.
" It doesn't matter if you know her. You don't have a proper girlfriend yet so she's just a stand in. Be there at six. Do not be late. "
Then his father hung up and B.J. turned to find Justin staring at him with curiosity on his face.
Justin said gingerly," He talks loud. I wasn't trying to listen but I couldn't help it. Are you not.... out ? I mean..... this is 2025. "
B.J. lowered his phone and his head at the same time. " Not really. I'm..... gay. I like men. I really do like you. But my family doesn't know. Nobody does really. Is that alright? "
His face rose up to gaze at Justin and the expression on it seemed like he was awaiting rejection.
Justin had been out and proud at sixteen. He wasn't wanting to go back in the closet but he liked this guy next to him. A lot. He wanted to get to know him better.
" Yeah. It's alright. "
For now, Justin thought to himself.
