  Alexi was about to drive off in his cobalt blue 2025 Ferrari when his phone rang shrilly. He pulled it out of his pants pocket and saw it was Scott who had left shortly before himself for the newspaper.

" Hello, gorgeous," he purred sexily. " Miss me already? Or , do you want to elope like Father?"

Then he laughed casually, wishing the man was beside him at the moment so he could give him a spontaneous blow job. He also wondered idly what it would be like to be married to Scott Sands. Not that Scott would actually ask him. And , he wouldn't be asking Scott because he knew what the response would be. Alexi Volkouv was not used to rejection. At all.

Scott , on the bluetooth as he drove his own black Corvette, said swiftly," I'm assuming you have not heard the news already. "

" Heard what news ? "

On the Barrington Academy bus to school Theodore was beginning to read the short story Alan had sent him. The one he apparently had wrote. The little he saw was impressing him. He was proud. His boyfriend was not just cute but talented. Very very talented.

Then as he read more of the science fiction themed story about a teen boy who survived a car accident paralyzed and the mysterious plot to revive the nerves in his legs via a sinister medical doctor his screen was blocked by a news story notification. About a private plane crash in Rock Creek Park.

His eyes got big behind his glasses as he read instead the news story.

He quickly called Alan who was being driven to school by his stepfather's chauffeur.

Alan said almost shyly ," Did you read it? "

Theodore hesitated. " Yes. It's good. Really good. But...... I saw something. Something about your mom and Mr. Volkouv. "

Maxim walked into Duncan and Associates for his appointment with the divorce lawyer as his phone rang.

" Hello ," he answered sharply.

It was his sons' governess.

Josephine Petrova said bluntly," Maxim, your father and that woman are missing. "

Jeff stepped off the treadmill at Fitness Blast and accepted  the customized gym towel from Rocky Rockman , his trainer.

Rocky nodded at him. " Looking good, kid. I can't wait to see you running all over  the Stallions football field next year. "

Then Jeff's phone rang and he swiftly answered it.

Prince Cedric said ," Jeffrey, something has happened to Nicholas and your mother. "

" What ! ," he blurted out as another call was coming in. Thinking it might be his mother he abruptly switched over to answer it without looking to see who it actually was.

" Hey ," Jimmy said," have you seen the news?"

As a slightly groggy Lewis was undergoing another chemo treatment and Richard was out running an errand that he said was important Nigel's eye was practically glued to the breaking news report about the plane crash on the tv in Lewis's hospital room. He was also trying to call his husband but the call kept going to voicemail.

" Richard, where are you? ," Nigel whispered faintly to himself as he hung up. " And , Dad , are you ok ? Please be ok. Both of you. Please, God. Please. "
