" Aren't you supposed to be at school, Angeletti ? ," Nicole asked weakly as she looked at the most unexpected visitor she had at the hospital since she was shot by her so called friend Tina.

Franco Angeletti shrugged and slumped down in the chair near her bed. He was an idiot and that repulsive woman's son but he was kinda cute , she thought, with his shaggy dark curls and piercing dark eyes. Then she mentally kicked herself. God , what the hell was she thinking? Franco Angeletti , cute ? She was shot in the back not the head so she shouldn't be acting this dumb. Ain't no way she could actually ever like this jerk. Not with his lame ass attitude and what his mother did to her brother. God , her mother and grandmother would flip over that......

" Yeah ," he muttered as he avoided her eyes for some reason," yeah , well , I cut class. Who cares? It's just one day. I did it all the time back home in Pennsylvania. Before I came to this dump state. "

Nicole rolled her brown eyes. " Sorry we're not up to your oh so superior standards, Angeletti. Doesn't explain what you're doing here. In my hospital room. Isn't there a Sopranos marathon you should be watching or something? "

Franco smirked. " You're as rude as fuck, Duncan. "

Nicole smirked back. " Only when I'm around you. So why are you really here , dickface ? "

" I came to see you. Ok ? Isn't that enough? I mean you're my classmate and you got hurt. So I decided to visit. Why you gotta make it more than it is? "

Nicole shifted slightly up in the bed , trying not to jostle her IV and the other annoying things they had hooked up to her. She hated being in the hospital. She had never been in one before. Not as a patient. Even as a kid. Jamal had been hit by the car and had his tonsils out before as a kid. Justin had broken his leg in little league once. But she never had reason to be in a hospital. Until now. She couldn't believe one of her girls had pulled a trigger on her. She had known Tina and Rona both forever. She never been shot before. It happened so fast. It all happened so fast. All she remembered was seeing Tina with the gun ...... She remembered wanting to get Luci away so she wouldn't get hurt and Luci trying to get her to go back to the bus...... Then she remembered the pain...... Then not much else. She wondered if the rich guy she had shot in the courthouse felt the same way. Of course she got Jacobs in the shoulder. He hadn't seemed hurt bad. Joe Jacobs had forgave her. Not wanted her to go to jail or nothing. She didn't understand that. If he had shot her she'd want revenge. She didn't think she could forgive Tina.

Her face twisted in pain and not just from her healing wound.

Franco sat up straighter as he watched her carefully. " Hey. You okay? "

Nicole laughed harshly. " What do you think?"

They sat in silence after that for several minutes. Just sat and listened to the sound of the medical equipment beeping. Until Nicole said softly," Yeah, okay, thanks for coming. Whatever reason you here. Angeletti."
