              There appears to be a new startling development in the Hyattsville, Maryland mayoral race between disabled openly gay former professor and math genius Dr. Spencer Norland - Lane , conservative family values advocate and attorney Buckley Van Owen Sr. , Hyattsville Middle School principal Kristine Keller, former The Aura editor Dodie Angeletti and fiery minister Lazarus Jones. In an unexpected turn of events we have been informed that Kristine Keller has issued a statement that she is terminating her campaign effective immediately, citing her family as a prime reason that she is no longer seeking public office.

Kris Keller ( sitting straight and rigidly precise behind her desk in the principal's office) : I will always put the needs of my family and my children before anything else as I tremendously value family unity. Traditional family unity. Therefore I must conclude after painstaking mental debate with myself as well as others that I need to end my campaign for the office of mayor. I do also today endorse the candidacy of my former Republican opponent in the race, Mr. Van Owen, because without myself in the race he is the only truly fit person for the position of mayor.
