61. Meeting the crew

James' pov

I'm absolutely shattered, Emma and I didn't finish our date until around eleven o'clock last night then we were texting until God knows what time. Even though I knew I had to be up early this morning I just didn't want to stop talking to her because we were having such a good night. I would relive it over and over again if I could.

I woke up at six this morning after around four hours sleep. It is now half six and I am waiting for Connor who is due to pick me up any minute now. His mum very kindly offered to take all of us to the studios because she has to be up early for work.

I leave the house shutting the door as quietly as I can so that I don't wake anyone up before going up the drive way and getting into the car that I spotted pulling up. I mumble a quiet hello to everyone before resting my head back, my eyes quickly closing after I get comfortable as I fall asleep.

"James get up mate. We're here." I let out a low groan as I wake up. Opening my eyes slowly I see Tristan and Brad leaving the car and Connor look at me, he must have been the one to wake me up. I thank Connor's mum before getting out of the car and stumbling into the building after Tristan and Brad with Connor next to me trying not to laugh at how tired I am.

"A little tired are we James?" Joe laughs as Connor and I join him and the other half of our band.

"Just a little."

"Well maybe you should have either come back earlier from your date and not at eleven o'clock or stop texting Emma until the ungodly hours of the morning." Brad teases. I roll my eyes as Joe, Tristan and Connor laugh.

"Okay Brad leave him alone, he is happy in love bless him." Dean teases as he enters the room. I hang my head hiding my face which now has a smile spread from ear to ear.

"So today as you know your meeting the guys who are going to be with you on tour and making it run smoothly. You will get time to have some time with them but at the moment they are working so we will do introductions later." Joe tell us once they've all calmed down for laughing at me. "We actually have three different rooms that we are using today. Today we will be in this room when we are working but when your meeting the crew you'll be going into the other two rooms. Although we'll mainly be using room ten." We sit at the table and Joe opens up his laptop and starts to load various things before pushing it aside and focusing on us.

"Okay so you've had the schedules and I trust you've all read through them." We all nod. "Okay well we need to figure out the set list, who is singing  what and when it'll be sung as well as the solos and when you'll be speaking."

"Then we will need to work on merchandise but for that you'll be working with other members of the crew."

"We have a lot of work to be done and just under two months to do it all and then that is when all the real hard core stuff starts so the sooner we get this done the better." I groan silently to myself as the realisation of how much work we have to do hits me.

We start to go through different set lists of past tours so that we could decide how we want our tour to go. We've been the supporting acts for various acts including McFly, Lawson and JLS as we slowly wriggled our way into the music industry so we can use that to our advantage because we can think of the different tours and artists, what they did and when and apply that to what we want to do. So basically using their tours as inspiration for our own ideas.

After two hours of tour talk and trying to decide when we will be talking and singing but not really getting anywhere we decide to take a break. The rest of the crew are apparently taking a break as well so this is our chance to meet them. I don't really know how this meeting thing is going to work but we'll figure out some sort of system.
