Emma’s pov

“I have to tell Brad today but how?” I whisper to Jayna. We are at right at the back of the classroom trying to decide what to do about this whole situation at school. I thought I could handle it but the comments are getting worse and I don’t want to run straight to the teachers so our plan is to ask my brother get some advice and solve it ourselves. The only problem is trying to get the advice off Brad without him getting involved and solving it for me because I am pretty sure that wouldn’t help.

Yesterday Zoey, Jayna and I dance away all of our problems and didn’t get home until four but I can’t keep dancing everyday all day to get away from the people at college. I shouldn’t have run away yesterday but I was having a bit of a down day so I was emotional already and as much as I was putting on a brave face I just needed to hear those comments to make me crumble. I even started to believe them until Zoey and Jayna snapped me into reality and helped me to remember they were all rubbish.

“I don’t know I think that we should tell him but make him promise not to get involved or he will.”

“I know that is the problem.”

“I know.”

“Emma. Jayna. Would you like to share with the rest of the class what you are talking about?”

“I’m good thank you.” I smile at out teacher.

“Well stop talking and pay attention in my classroom then.” He turns on his heels and walks to the very front of the room. Jay and I look at each other and laugh quietly. He hears us and glares at us which makes us laugh a little harder.

“The think they are invincible because they know The Vamps.” Someone at the front yells out.

“The who?” My teacher asks.

“The Vamps. They are a new band who are becoming more famous. Her brother is the lead singer.” I glare at Katie who is the one speaking.

“Brad has nothing to do with this. If I want to talk to my friend I will and I admit we shouldn’t have been talking during class but leave my brother out of this. If Brad wants to make something out of himself and have a career he loves then so be it, it has nothing to do with me or Jayna.”

“It does when you are using the members to sleep around and get yourself noticed.”

“Oh please I am not sleeping with anyone. Yes I am dating James, kill me for loving someone. I couldn’t care less what you all think of me and after going to school with me since year seven I would have thought that you would know that by now Katie.”

“Calm down Emma.”

“I’m fine just tired of them bringing Brad and James into everything.” I sit back in my chair and look at Jayna who gives me a reassuring smile.

“Have you girls finished now? I would like to carry on with the lesson.” The teacher rolls his eyes and hands out the worksheets while he continues to explain the work. Only an hour and thirty-five minutes left of this lesson then I can go home. “Now complete the work in silence I don’t want any more distractions in this lesson.” I roll my eyes and look at the work sheet with a billion questions on them. This is going to take a while.

The rest of the lesson went fairly quickly. Jay and I were secretly passing notes under the table because our teacher was keeping an eye on us to make sure were weren’t taking about anything other than the work. As for Kylie, she kept glaring at me every five minutes and as much as I wanted to walk up to her and ask her what her problem was I just ignore her to the best of my abilities. She really knows how to get on my nerves.
