James' PoV
No more touring, no more running to the studios for meetings and recordings. We are having a well deserved break and I can spend time with the people that really matter, my family. I am not going to lie and say it has been easy because it has been far from easy. My sleeping pattern is still kind of messed up from touring, as are the other boys, but we are slowly trying to adapt back to our old routine. Cassandra obviously only being four days old isn't sleeping through the night and is demanding a lot of attention but what else would you expect from a four day old baby. I wouldn't have it any other way though.
The fans have been so supportive. Emma and I have been sent cards and gifts by them congratulating us in Cassandra which is incredible. They don't have to send us stuff but they do and we are extremely grateful for it. Obviously there have been fans who are saying that The Vamps are going to split up because I have a family now but I am trying to make it clear that we aren't splitting up and I am still going to be a hands in dad as well as a guitarist and vocalist for the band. Yes some things have changed because of Cassandra but the band is one thing that won't change.
The boys have also been incredible. Yesterday they came round for an hour and relieved Emma and I of our parental duties while they fed and played with Cassandra. Brad was really protective the first night that Emma and Cassie came home, he was practically ringing every five minutes or texting I see how we were getting on. I know he was trying to help but it was getting annoying. He woke Cassandra up ringing us at one point and that was actually the last time he rang. The next morning we talked it through and he said he was sorry and he would calm down a bit which he has.
Emma's dad and my family have also been golden with Cassandra although they haven't really spent time with her because everyone wanted Emma and I settle her in before coming around and visiting.
Today we have planned for everyone to go to the park for the day. That way we can all meet up, relax, have a picnic and everyone can spend time with Cassandra because although Tristan, Connor and Bradley have already spent a little bit of time with her; it wasn't very long and our families haven't spent any time with Cassandra.
"Do you have the change bag?" I yell up the stairs to Emma. We are just getting ready to go.
"Yeah is Cassandra ready?" I hear footsteps so I look up the stairs to see Emma coming down with our daughter in her arms.
"Yeah she is ready." She smiles handing Cassie to me so that I can put her in to the push chair as we are walking to the park. "Do you have the picnic as well?"
"Push chair is loaded and ready to go I was just waiting for you." I laugh. On that note we lock the house up and head to the park where we are going to meet everyone. It is lively and sunny right now but I have packed the necessaries for in case the weather suddenly changes although hopefully it won't change. The weather forecast is saying it is meant to be sunny all day but they aren't always one hundred per cent reliable.
"James."
"Yeah?"
"Do you think the fans will come? I mean I want his to be a friends and family thing and..."
"Emma the park is full of family's. Yes we might get the odd fan but we won't be mobbed don't worry. Besides we are normal people so there is nothing that will make us stick out from the crowd. I'm sure we will be fine." Using one hand I push the pram with Cassandra in while I wrap my other arm around Emma who wraps her arm around me. "Nothing is going to ruin this day it is going to be one big happy day out as a family."
"I know." She says leaning into me slightly. "I love you."
"Love you more."
"Not possible."
