Emma's pov

Being in hospital is quite annoying. The beds aren't exactly the most comfortable beds ever and the food, well I think everyone knows how bad hospital food is but when you're really hungry you tend to eat it. Besides I need to keep my energy levels up for Cassandra.

We all thought that I was going to be in hospital for a few days at the most but I ended up being in here for a week because of the little issues we had a birth with Cassandra. Although the beds and food aren't amazing the doctors are. They've been so supportive and helpful.

This morning Jayna came in as soon as she could because I don't know if it is just me but you tend to get lonely because you only really see and speak to the staff. When she came in she saw how tired I was so she told me to get some rest while she occupied Cassie. After not getting much sleep during the pregnancy and now with Cassandra I don't get much sleep because she loves to scream and remind the world of her existence. You can imagine that's pretty draining. I just have gotten about an hours sleep before I woke up again - this time of my own accord - but that was all I needed to wake up a little bit. I went to the toilets to get changed because I don't feel comfortable changing in my room because anyone could walk in at any time.

Jayna and I are currently waiting for Cassie and I to be discharged. The Vamps have finally finished touring so James is coming to pick me up. He said he would have been here earlier but he had something to sort out first. When he does get here he is bringing the pushchair so we can take Cassie home.

"You know I was so excited to hold Cassie but this is nowhere near what I thought it would feel like?" I say holding my daughter in my arms. I'm sitting on the bed with my legs dangling off the side and Jayna sitting next to me.

"What do you mean?"

"I was so excited to hold her but now it just, it was nothing what I thought it would be like. She is so precious and small."

"We need to get some family pictures. One of you, James and Cassie and one of everyone."

"Agreed, we can do that tonight." There is pause where nobody speaks, except for Cassandra making some whinging noises. A knock on the door interrupts the silence, the midwife - whose name is Daniella - walks in smiling warmly at us.

"Emma how are you this morning?"

"Yeah I'm good. Jayna came in a while ago so I managed to get some sleep."

"That's good. And how's Cassandra?"

"She is alright, she cries every time we put her down though." I laugh.

"Yeah at the moment she will be at that stage where she just wants to be held, it's to make her feel safe."

"How are you?"

"Very busy but I thought I should pop in considering I haven't seen you this morning. Do you know when James is coming to pick you up?"

"Not a clue he said he will be in later but I can ring him to come in sooner I you need the bed free."

"No there is no rush at all he can take as long as he wants. Well if you need anything just give us a bell and we will do what we can to help. I'm going to go and see the other patients but I'll drop in again later if that's alright?"

"Of course. Thank you." With that Daniella leaves the room. She is so kind, she really has been extremely helpful throughout the past week that I've been here. She has even let a few people stay past visiting hours, mainly James but occasionally Brad and Jay.

"I need the little girl's room so I will see you in a bit." I nod but swiftly turn my attention back to the child in my arms.

"You know Cass, you're going to have one hell of a life." I smile down at her. She looks at me as if she is listening to everything that I say. "Daddy is in a band and the way they are going they are going to be taking over the world. He won't always be with us physically but he will always be supporting and helping us. He has just finished going around Europe playing for people." I don't expect her to understand the any word of what I'm saying but I just like to talk to her. "I know we are going to spoil you rotten, we will do everything we can to ensure that you are happy Cass. I love you so much."
