21. Release and announce

James' Pov

It has been a week since the whole kidnapping situation. Jake and Sam were sentenced to a few months in prison and even though I would have preferred for them to get more I am glad they have been put away for a while. Hopefully they can learn their lesson.

At first Emma was so scarred, she wouldn't even leave the house on her own but she is better now. She has been taking self-defence as well so if anything like this does happen again then she will be prepared. Brad has been a little bit more protective of her but instead of fighting him away Emma is happy that he is playing the protective big brother card. I am okay I guess though I am still scared because if they are going to go to such extreme lengths to hurt Brad because he is better than them then god knows what they are planning to do next. God's knows what those men are capable of. Also it was completely draining because the pap's somehow found out about the whole situation and they wouldn't leave us alone because they wanted the new biggest hit on how we were kidnapped and everything. We didn't give anything away because it isn't any of the business really but it was still draining.

Emma started back at college on Friday because she took a few days off to recover and to get her strength back. I also took a few days off while I feel kind of bad about because it put the band on hold but it was doctor's orders and as much as Emma and I wanted to go back to living our lives again, nobody would let us. Emma's parents were watching her to make sure she wasn't sneaking off to college which she did try once and if they couldn't watch her then Brad would. I had my family, the lads and Joe and Dean all telling me I had to rest and they wouldn't even let me anywhere near the studios. I felt so useless. But it gave me time to think about music and I even wrote a few songs.

Since I have been allowed back at the studios we have worked on the new single which we are hoping to release soon, we are just waiting for the heads up from Joe on when we can release it. We've been working quote long hours trying to sort it out and I am not going to lie I was starting to get a bit exhausted but we are done now and I love the track, it is so catchy. Can We Dance and Wild Heart were number two and three in the charts so there is a bit of pressure on this track to do just as well.

There is a knock on the front door but mum and Sophie are downstairs so I decide to let them get the door instead of me walking all the way downstairs because it is most likely for one of them anyway because the lads and I have been relaxing and sleeping when we can because of how long we have been working and spending at the studios. I hear footsteps running upstairs and it sounds like more than two feet so I put my song writing book down. I have just been reading over the songs that I have written starting from when I was fifteen all the way to the other day when I wrote a few songs. My door flies open and I see four people walk in. I sit up on my bed and smile at the grinning people.

"Hey."

"We come all this way and all you are going to do is sit there and say 'hey'." Emma laughs, she is definitely feeling better I think as I laugh in my head at her reaction.

"Sorry let me try again. Hi what are you guys doing here?"

"And girl!" I roll my eyes at Emma laughing.

"Guys and girl then."

"Well we have news and we are here to tell you."

"It took four of you to come and tell me some news?"

"Tristan was already round mine. Then we told Con because he lives closer and then we came to tell you because it is important and we need you."

"So why are you here then Em?"

"Wow I am feeling the love today James." She acts hurt.

"You know what I mean."

"Well you know what she is like. She was begging me to come and see you. Not like she spent a whole four days with you."
