72. Suspicions

Warning: skipped three months (Emma is twenty-two weeks and three days pregnant (5 months and 2 weeks))

James' pov

We have been in tour for nearly six months now. It's become a lot easier because we have all adjusted to your life so it's not as hard as it was at the beginning. The lads and I have the routine to get as much sleep as possible as well as recording and writing while on the road so we can produce new music; Emma isn't depressed like she was to start off with at the beginning of the tour because she is now coping with the pregnancy I guess as well as the fact that we aren't there twenty-four seven. She said that he dad isn't working or disappearing as much as he is looking after Emma more. My family, Jayna and her family are also looking after Emma.

It sucks that I am not there for her but we've worked out a system to Skype or call for a minimum of half an hour at least twice a week. Trust me when you are on the road half an hour is like a luxury because it is a hectic life but it's fun.

We've actually just had two days off with no interviews, photoshoots or anything so I went home and spent the time with Emma. The other three boys didn't come with me though but they didn't stay on the bus ether so I don't know what they did but they refuse to tell me. I don't know when we started keeping secrets from each other but I feel like literally the whole team are hiding something from me.

I started to notice over the past two weeks that something was, or shall I say is, going on. Tris, Con and Brad have been making a lot of phone calls and they've even disappeared a few times over night. Obviously Joe knows what is going on because it doesn't phase him when they suddenly go missing one by one.

At first I didn't think anything of it because I thought they are just relaxing or getting away from stressful your life, because some days can be really stressful, but lately they are disappearing more regularly and for longer periods of time. Now I'm starting to question what they are up to but no matter what I ask or say to them they change the subject or brush it off one way or another. They are up to something and I know it but I just don't know what they are up to.

I open Skype on my laptop and call Emma. She accepts the call and the black screen is replaced by her cheerful face.

"Hey how you doing?"

"I am good. I had more cravings for toast with Nutella and bananas on today. I can't get enough of them. I swear I am going to get fat thanks to this little one." We haven't found out the sex of the baby because we ant it to be a surprise, we both agreed that we would find out when he or she is born and until then we will get unisex things.

"You won't get fat Emma's and besides it's obviously what the baby wants. A little Nutella and banana-holic." I laugh making Emma giggle as well.

"So what's new on your then?" That's the good thing about talking twice a week, you always have something to talk about. I begin to tell her about the shows we have recently done as well as some of the interviews and photoshoots. Joe is arranging the American tour but nothing is finalised yet but there is a possibility that we will have a small break then start the 'second leg' of the tour but this time in America and not Europe.

"It's sounds like so much fun. I wish blip and  I were there." We call the baby blip because we don't want to say 'the baby' all of the time.

"I wish you and blip were here too but I will see you soon enough."

"I know and I can't wait. I also can't wait to see the other boys. Are they still disappearing?" I just nod considering she can see me. "Have you figured out what is going on?"

"No. Any success figuring things out that end?"

"Nothing."

"Well they have to tell us soon they can't keep secrets forever."

Brad's pov

The surprise is nearly ready for Emma and James we are just adding the last few touches and sorting the final details out then we can show them the surprise. James is getting suspicious and apparently Emzy has been asking dad a few questions about what we could be up to but she doesn't know that he is also involved along with everyone else.

It has been hard not blurting out anything about this but I think Connor found it hardest to keep a secret from James and Jayna struggled with Emma because they tell each other everything. It's been a struggle but we've pulled it off. I reckon within two days we should have everything finished and the grand revealing can commence. I can't wait to see their faces.

Due to the fact that we have another show tonight we can't go and help out tonight but tomorrow morning the three of us are planning to leave ridiculously early in the morning so we can help out but Joe has given us strict instructions to be back by four the latest hence why we are planning on leaving around about seven in the morning but if we can leave earlier than brilliant.

James' pov

After forty minutes of skyping my girlfriend we hang up because she has to go out. I always have mixed emotions after speaking to Emma. If it's a phone call then I will feel sad because I miss her but happy that I've spoken to her. Although if it is a Skype call them I feel slightly worse because I actually saw her, even though it was in a monitor.

With a happy sigh I walk down the bus towards the living room and kitchen area for a drink but I stop dead in my tracks when I hear Brad's voice.

"It will be done soon...I know I think we've pulled it off but I can't wait to see the reactions...alright thanks again see you soon." He hangs up so I just walk forward as the phone call is over. I know that was about the sneaking around. I wish I knew what he was doing though. It is driving me crazy not knowing. I hope I find out soon, very soon.
