Warning: I've skipped time because it would have been stupid fillers otherwise and trust me it would have been really boring for you to read and for me to write. This chapter is a week before the boys leave to go on tour. Enjoy xx

Emma's pov

I have a God almighty cold which I've had for about two weeks now and I can't shift it. Before I got this stupid cold Brad, Dad and I were spending as much family time together as possible before they go away for about three months on tour. I was also spending time with James when they aren't in the studios preparing to go and when we are not with our families but the past two weeks I've barely been done anything because I feel like rubbish.

James is coming over later because dad and Brad are going out for the day to this place where they used to go to when Brad was younger. I had to practically force them to go out and have fun and the only way they would agree to go was if someone was with me so I asked James who happily agreed. Apparently Brad has booked me for a doctor's appointment at one o'clock so James is taking me to that as well. I didn't want to go to the doctors because I hate going but after two weeks of feeling like something you scrape off the bottom of your shoe, I feel like I have to go.

"Emma if you need anything then please ring one of us. James should be here very soon."

"Are you sure you are okay for us to go?"

"I'm fine dad, as Brad said James will be here soon. I will be fine now go and spend some father son quality time." I say practically pushing them towards the door. They both hold their hands up in surrender before saying goodbye. Brad opens the door revealing James who was seconds away from knocking. I laugh at James' shocked face as he lowers his hand. "See James is here now so you can stop worrying and go." We say one final goodbye and dads tells James to call him if I get worse. They eventually leave and James comes in shutting the door behind him.

"How are you feeling today?"

"Just like every other day. I actually ate some toast and a crunchie earlier though."

"We'll at least you're eating." We sit down on the sofa and enjoy whatever is on TV. To be honest I am not really concentrating and neither is James as we talk over the TV about various things from how excited he is about the tour to what trine the doctor's appointment is. Just small little chit chat.

"Em we might want to go now it is half twelve. Are you sure you don't want to get a taxi?"

"James I have the flu I'm not disabled I'll be fine." I laugh. I grab my hoodie which is next to me on the sofa and sling it on as James does the same with his hoodie. We lock the house up and start to walk around to the doctors. It is only a twenty minute walk away although there is a hill to go up which feel like it takes forever but we still need to make sure we have time spare. As the old saying goes it better to be early then to be late.

"I reckon they will just give me paracetamol or something. I don't think it is anything serious."

"I hope it isn't anything serious. If you don't get better by the time we go on tour next week then you have to text me or Brad so we know that you're okay."

"You are all fussing so much it's probably nothing."

"It's because we care about you Emma."

"I know and I would probably be the same if I was you."

"Exactly." He laughs as we carry on walking up the small mountain. Okay slight exaggeration there but it still feels like a mountain.

"Hello. Sorry are you busy if so I'll go away." A girl around twelve says, she must be a fan.
