That Takes Me Back

You wake up to someone gently nudging you.

"Y/N, wake up. There's a surprise for you."

Blearily opening your eyes, you see Jade smiling at you. Letting out a tired yawn, you rub at your still sleepy eyes.

"Huh? A surprise?"

Jade chuckles. "That's right. Come on and find out."

You sit up and see that the boys are already awake. They stand shoulder to shoulder and block the coffee table from your view, all with excited smiles on their faces.

"Okay, what's going on?" You let out a small laugh as you get out of your cot. "What are you guys up to?"

Epel's smile widens. "Well, we had the idea that we could bring a little bit of your world here."

The boys step aside to reveal the table and your eyes widen in amazement. The table has a little tree that's been decorated with little apple ornaments and lights. Gifts and a plate of cookies have been placed by the tree as well.

"W-what is all this?" You look to the boys is surprise.

Grim leaps to Jade's shoulder. "It's your Cheermeister thingy!"

You laugh. "Oh, you mean Christmas."

Grim nods. "Yeah, that!"

"We thought we could celebrate a little bit of your world." Jade says, gesturing to the table. "So from what you tolds us, we came up with this."

You look back to the little tree. "So, you did all this just for me?"

Idia holds his arm. "Sorry if we got anything wrong. We tried to get everything right from what you said."

"I told you we should've tried to find those ugly sweaters!" Sebek exclaims.

You feel your heart swell. "No, this is perfect." You turn to face them. "Thank you guys so much. I really can't tell you how much this means to me."

Jade smiles, grabbing one of the gifts and holding it towards you. "For you, Y/N."

Your eyes widen. "What? I couldn't possibly-"

Jade takes a hold of your hand and places the gift in your hands. "There's no need to feel bad we got you these gifts, Y/N." Looking into your eyes, he smiles softly. "So please, open it."

You bashfully smile with a nod. "Thanks again you guys."

Sitting down by the coffee table, you tear into the wrapping. The boys sit beside you as you do. You see a little box and open it to find a beautiful rose keychain. You pick it up out of the box and it sparkles in the light.

"Wow, Jade!" You trace a finger over the rose petals. "it's beautiful!"

Jade smiles. "I'm glade you like it. I saw it at the festival and it reminded me of the keychain I have on my pouch. I thought I'd get this for you so you can add it to your bag."

Your eyes light up with excitement. "I'll do that right now!"

Running over to you bag, you clip the keychain to it. Smiling brightly, you rush back to your seat and show it to the boys.

"What do you guys think?"

"That's awesome, Y/N!" Epel cheers.

Idia holds his arms as he smiles softly. "Yeah, very nice equipment upgrade."

Sebek folds his arms. "I would've found you something better than a mere keychain but it is rather nice on you."

Jade looks to you fondly. "It suits you."
