Night falls over the park and the street lamps light up the paths. You and the boys walk through the plaza on your way to the entrance, ready to head back to school.
Ace lets out a satisfied sigh and places his hands behind his head. "What. A. Day!"
"I can't believe it's this dark out already." Kalim says. "We really played from sunup to sunset! The rollercoaster you mentioned and the pool hall Ortho recommended were both super fun!"
Ortho nods. "I was surprised at how fascinating the Seafloor Stroll was, myself. It was fun riding the Ferris Wheel with you and Y/N, too!"
Kalim loops his arms through yours and Ortho's. "Yeah, that was great. There's something so refreshing about seeing the world from way up there, huh?"
Trey chuckles. "After all's said and done, I guess even us nay-sayers ended up having a good time."
Vil smiles. "You're not wrong. This was a delightful park. I'm embarrassed by my own initial wariness now."
Lilia hums with a smile. "Perhaps I should've taken the others from Diasomnia along after all."
"Yeah, you know what?" Cater plays with a strand of his hair. "We should totally visit again and invite the guys who didn't come this time."
Floyd shakes his head. "I think I'm good now. I've had my fun. I'm about ready to head back."
You tilt your head. "You really don't want to come back?"
Jade chuckles. "I'm astounded that Playful Land kept you entertained for a whole day straight."
Grim slumps his shoulders. "Aww, are we leavin' already? I wanted to play some more..."
"I get it, but we REALLY gotta get back." Ace states. "If I'm not back at my dorm before lights-out, no amount of covering from Trey and Cater is gonna save me. If you haven't had enough, we could always come back tomorrow."
Grim perks up. "Ooh! I like the sound of that. I'm in!"
You let out a laugh. "Could we really handle a second day of all this?"
Ace wraps an arm around your shoulders. "You bet we can! We can just ask Ernesto for more tickets, and..." He paused as he glanced around. "Say, where IS Ernesto, anyway?"
Ortho brings a hand to his chin. "I haven't seen him since the show ended. How about the rest of you?"
"Ditto." Leona narrows his eyes. "Haven't seen him or Gino."
Lilia hums. "It would be rude to leave without thanking Ernesto for his generous hospitality. Let's all look for him, shall we?"
You and the boys walk towards the bazaar. Walking along the path, you notice that there's no longer any guests around. It's quite and the only ones that seem to be out are you and the boys.
Vil looks around the deserted streets. "There's no sign of Ernesto or Gino..."
"Did they get tired and leave for the day?" Kalim asks.
"C'mon, no way." Cater shakes his head. "A manager wouldn't just ditch a park and leave the guests unattended, right?"
"Actually, speaking of guests..." Ace rubs the back of his neck. "For all the crowds that were here earlier, this place is a ghost town now. Where'd everybody go? It's awfully quiet."
Leona flicks his tail, his eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Worry about findin' Ernesto later. We gotta head for the exit. Now."
"What's the matter, Leona Kingscholar?" Ortho asks. "Your vital signs seem slightly erratic."
