Khaotung was lying in the hospital bed. His leg hurt, despite the medication he was given, but he knew he was not alone. He had First with him, because his boyfriend never left his side. Not once since his surgery. "Good morning baby..." "Good morning my darling. How are you?" asked First and helped Khao to sit up a little. "I'll raise the bed, wait." He said, supporting Khaotungs back and pushing the bed into an upright position. "Here, drink something." He finally said and handed Khaotung a glass of water. "What time is it?" "Half past ten." Khao nodded. It's been a week now and Khao has already had two surgeries. Everything could be saved and Khaotung would not suffer any permanent damage, but the healing was still exhausting.

A knock on the door made both boys look over to the door. "Yes ?" First said loudly and the door swung open. "Por Khao !" Min-Joo yelled, making Khao smile widely. "Singto, we're at a hospital. Don't yell or scream okay ?" Lilly said and picked up the little kid. "I'm sorry aunt Lilly." He said and she shook her head. "It's fine baby." "Por Khao !" He said once again and opened his arms widely. Lilly put him down next to Khaotung and went back to the door, where she waited for a moment. "Por Khao, I painted a big picture especially for you!" "Really? Thank you, my darling." "Grandma has the picture!" emphasized the little one and Khaotung nodded. "Por, grandma said that you will stay here with Por Khao as long as Por Khao is sick." "That's right, Min." "Can I stay here too?" First giggled. "We would all be very happy about that, but Min, you have to look after Grandma and Grandpa for me." The little one thought for a second and finally nodded. "Yes that's right por. Grandma and Grandpa would be very sad without me. I am sorry por Khao, I can't stay here." "It's okay Min, I understand that you have big boy duties." Khao said giggling.

"Here we are!" said Firsts mother as she walked around the corner into the room. She stopped for a moment and looked at Khaotung. "God, my boy..." she said and let her shoulders droop. "What are you doing, my love?" "I'm sorry that I scared you so much." said Khaotung, but she shook her head. "No, it's fine. Accidents happen. Thank god, you're going to be okay." At that moment Fiat came around the corner with his father. "Man, Khaotung, you really wanted to steal the show from me, didn't you?" asked Fiat, making Khaotung laugh out loud. "I seem to have succeeded." "Oh, boys... you and your gallows humor..." said Fiats mother and tapped his shoulder. "At least you can walk faster than a snail crawls now." "Well, you won't be able to do that for a while, Khao."
"Enough now, boys..." said the head of the family. "Here, Khaotung, this is for you." The man put a large bag on the table in the room. In it was home-cooked food, a bottle of est cola and some chocolate. "We thought that hospital food couldn't be as good as home-made food... and something sweet helps to get fit again." Lilly explained. Khaotung felt like crying, not out of sadness, but out of joy. Out of joy because he had his family around him. His son, his boyfriend, his parents-in-law. And yes, also his brother-in-law and sister-in-law. His family. "Thank you." he said and squeezed Firsts hand a little too tightly, trying not to cry in front of all of them.

Some time passed, Min-Joo was painting and Fiat, Khao and First were deeply involved in a conversation. The twins' mother and Lilly were decorating Khaotungs hospital room with flowers and figures that they had brought from home as lucky charms. And their father? He was sitting in the corner on the armchair and was fast asleep."Excuse me?" Khaotungs gaze darted to the door. "Grandma!" said Khao, smiling. "Hello." she said and pushed the door open. Sun and Aof walked behind her and greeted the group as well. "So you're the grandma Khaotung told us about? I'm very pleased to meet you!" "You must be Firsts mother? I'm very pleased to meet you too. Thank you for taking care of my boy." "It's our pleasure. Khaotung is family to us." His grandma smiled widely, just like Firsts mom, but then her gaze wandered over to the two tall guys. "And you are...?" she asked and looked at Sun and Aof. "Uhm.. I'm-" "That's my uncle. Uncle Sun and this is his boyfriend, my uncle Aof." said Khaotung. Suns head shot towards him and his eyes opened wide, tears gathering in them, which he tried to blink away very quickly. "Uncle Sun?" asked Min-Joo and looked in the direction of the tall man. "You must be Min-Joo? I've heard a lot about you?" "Are you por Khaos uncle?" "Yes, I am." "I have uncles too! Lots of them. There's Uncle Fiat and Uncle Winny. Uncle Satang and Uncle Mark and I also have Uncle Earth and Uncle Mix. And even two aunts. Aunt Lilly and Aunt Namu!" "Wow, such a big family!" said Sun enthusiastically and smiled at the little boy. "But if you're Por Khaos uncle, then you can't be my uncle." said Min, sounding a little disappointed.
Sun didn't really know what to say and looked around questioningly. Aof came to his rescue - because he stepped forward and knelt down in front of the little one. "Uncle Sun isn't working, you say?" Min-Joo nodded. "What else can you think of?" he asked the little one, who was now grinning and humming and thinking. "Sun has known Khaotung since he was very small. He raised him for a long time, like your family raised you." said Aof. "Really?" "Yes, really." "Por Khao, what is p'Sun to me?" Khao grinned at the question. "Hm that's a good question. Would you like to give him a nickname?" Min pursed his lips. "I'll think about one !" he said and continued painting. Sun smiled and stood up. He walked over to the bed where Khaotung was lying and sat down on a chair. "Oh." He said and looked back and forth between First and Fiat. "So there are literally two of you." First and Fiat laughed. "Twins." Fiat said. "I knew about the twin thing, but you look completely identical. Damn. Thank god you have piercings, I wouldn't be able to tell you apart otherwise."

Khaotungs grandma and Aof sat with Min and painted with him. Everyone had their own things to do and Suns 'duty' right now, was not to leave Khaotungs side. If Khao wanted something to drink, he jumped up to get it. If he needed his pillow fluffed up a bit, Sun didn't let anyone touch it and did it himself. He wanted to be there for Khaotung, to make up for the time. And even though he knew he could never give Khaotung back the childhood that was taken from him, never replace his parents, and never get back the time that was taken from both of them, he wanted to make sure that Khaotung would never lack anything again. He wanted to be the support that Khaotung always deserved. He wanted to stand by Khaotung.
"I know what to call you now." Sun and the others looked at Min-Joo, who was waving the red pen in his hand.

"Grandpa Sun!"
