"We got this, okay ?" First nodded and Khaotung smiled. They planned to tell Firsts parents about their relationship today. They'd be in Pattaya in two days and none of them planned to hide their relationship, especially not around family. First never came out to his parents. After Min-Joo's mother left, he just wasn't really interested in girls anymore and his parents probably thought that's because of her disappearing. He knew his parents would love him regardless, however, he felt nervous about telling them. Knowing their son likes boys is one thing but actually seeing him in a relationship with another male.. He was nervous even tho he knew that there's no reason for him to be nervous. "Shall we go down?" First nodded and with every step they got closer to his parents, his heart jumped faster and faster. "Hey, everything's okay." Khao said and gave him a quick kiss before they entered the restaurant.
The store was empty, his father was moving the chairs and his mother was standing at the cash register. Min-Joo was at kindergarten and the store wouldn't open for another hour. It was the perfect moment. "First, Khao, hello. Did you get enough sleep?" his mother asked with a broad smile. "Yes, thank you. Mae, por, do you have a moment?" The two looked at each other. The last time they saw their son so scared, he told them he was going to be a father. "First are you okay ? Did something happen ?" "No, I just need to talk to you real quick." His parents nodded and walked over, standing right in front of him and Khao now. His mother reached out with her hand to feel if he had a fever, his face was so red. "Mae.. Por.. I have to tell you something and I don't know how you will react because it has never been up for debate and I considered it irrelevant until... now." "First, you're scaring me." "I.. like boys." He said. No one said a word. They just looked at First. "Mae, por. I am gay." He grabbed Khao's hand and took a deep breath. "And Khaotung is my boyfriend." His parents looked at both of them and then at each other and began to smile widely before they both pulled Khao and First into their arms. "We know dear." His mother said. "We know and we are absolutely fine with you being gay. Your love is just as valid as our love my dear." First began to cry and Khao also couldn't really hold back his tears anymore. "First.." his dad began. "We love you so so much. I don't care about the gender of the person you're with as long as I know that you are loved and happy. And.." They let go of them both and his father looked over to Khaotung. "It looks like I got myself a third son." Now Khaotung broke out in tears just like First. "Boys, we're happy that you found each other. Your mother and I knew that, my son." "Yes we did and I actually kinda knew that you like Khao." First chuckled. "Come here." His mother said and once again pulled them both in a hug. "I am proud of you First." She once again said before she let go of them again and just smiled widely. "Now tell me.. Since when are you two a thing ?!" She asked excitedly and pulled the two of them to a table to sit down and chat. "I'm getting everything ready. You can talk to our kids dear." said his father and nodded. "Talk in peace. I'm sure you have a lot to tell your mother." "Por, I don't mind if you sit here." his father began to smile from ear to ear and quickly sat down. He was ready to hear the tea! "We've been a couple for exactly a week today." "Oh my god, it's still so new!" "Did you have feelings for my son straight away or did it develop slowly?" asked Firsts father. "Sir, to be honest, I found him interesting from the start. That's why I really wanted to talk with him. I noticed that I was in love shortly afterwards." "Oh that sounds really cute !" His mother squealed. "It does sound cute. But Khao, don't call me sir. We are family. Call me Frame or por, but don't call me sir !" "Oh yes, my boy you can call me mae from now on !" Khaotung smiled and nodded. "Yes.. mae." He said. Khao never thought he would ever say mae or por to anyone again and he had mixed feelings, but one thing was certain - it made him incredibly happy and gave him a warmth that he hadn't felt for a long time.
"You know what - let me go get us some coffee." Frame said and walked up to the counter. "Does Min know that you two love each other ?" "He calls me por Khao. I think he knows." Khao said smiling. "I told him that I love Khaotung. I told him a while ago actually." "You did ?" "Yes mae. He said he loves his por Khao as well."

"And how was it?" Satang asked excitedly over Facetime. "Come on, we want all the details!" said Mix, who was also in the call, leaning against Earth. Winny, on whose shoulder Satangs head was resting, grinned. "You two are so curious." he laughed. "For real, my boyfriend has talked about nothing else all day." laughed Earth. "Oh, we're just thinking about our friends. You two should try that too!" said Mix and at that moment Mark also answered. "Ciao guys!" he said and Mix immediately started complaining again. "You're early, we've been on the phone for ten minutes. You look like you've been fucked." "I'm happy to see you too, Mix." he said, laughing. "I was out with my girlfriend. Don't get so worked up, you already have so many wrinkles." "You fucker, you have a death wish?" "Guys!" said Winny loudly. "We're here to listen to FirstKhao, not to judge your kindergarten arguments." "Winny's right. Now tell us." Earth said and earned himself a mean look from his boyfriend. "Well my parents were really nice about it. Told me that they knew already and that they're glad to have a third son now." "Oh.." Satang said, smiling but he looked like he was about to cry. "I am so happy for you guys." He said and pouted right after. "Congratulations guys !" Winny said and the others joined in. "You're their third son now." Satang said, still pouting. His eyes showed how genuenly happy he was for Khaotung and Khao was really thankful to have such great friends. "What did they mean 'they knew.' First ?" "Well they said they knew that I don't really.. like females. They could tell due to my behaviour before and after Mins mom left. They said they thought I am bi or that it was just because I was mad at her but after a while, they noticed that I was never looking for someone and when someone approached me, I declined. They saw how bubbly I was whenever there was a nice guy around but I also wasn't interested in getting to know them so they thought whatever it is that I want in life and whatever gender I want to date - they're okay with everything." "That's really cute oh my.." "That's so nice bro. I knew your parents would be this chill about the situation." Mark said and showed a thumbs up. They were chatting for a bit more until Khao looked at the time. "Guys we have to pick up our son now." He said making the friends grin. "Our son. That sounds so cute." "Well what else should I say ? He's our child." First looked at Khao with literal heart eyes. "Bye guys ! See you tomorrow." Khao said and hung up. "What ?" He asked confused once he noticed the others gaze. "What ?" He giggled but instead of answering, First just pulled him in for a kiss. "I love you so much Khaotung." "I love you too baby."
