"Just be yourself, it's all good. He'll like you, don't worry." "Sun..." "He'll be okay and that's the most important thing to me. So calm down." "Sun, darling... I'm calm. You should calm down, think about your heart." Aof said and stroked Suns cheek. "Um... hello?" "Khao, oh my god-" said Sun when he suddenly heard the boys voice. "So you're Khaotung?" Aof said and greeted the boy who was standing in the half-open door. "Yes, who are you, if I may ask?" Aof looked to the side at Sun, who looked nervous. Now it was going to happen - he was going to tell Khaotung that he had a boyfriend. Why did it make him so nervous? Sun loved Khaotung and it was important to him that he would accept Aof. He had been dreaming of telling him about him for ages, but the fact that it was now going to come true almost made him burst with joy. "Khaotung, this is Aof. He's my boyfriend." Sun said and Khao tilted his head. "Your boyfriend ?" "Yes." "Well.. why is he here ?" "To help us." Khao nodded. "Isn't it too dangerous ?" "I-" "I am here because I want to help." Khao nodded again and slowly, his lips curved up in a smile. "It's nice to meet you p'Aof." "P'Aof, I like being called P' for once." He said smiling. "It's nice to meet you too. I've heard a lot about you." Khaotung invited them both in and Aof followed him straight away, while Sun stood there a little perplexed. He was so nervous for nothing? Well... he and Khaotung were still not really on good terms, or rather - they still hadn't really spoken to each other, which probably explained the rather neutral reaction. Sun ran after them, locked the door and finally sat down with them in the kitchen where Coco and Arya were also sitting. "Guys, this is Aof, Suns boyfriend. Aof, this is my boyfriend First and my best friend Coco. This is Arya, a ... uhm.. childhood friend and Samkits son. "Hello, nice to meet you." The friends greeted him and Coco was, as always, the first to dare to ask ; "What are you doing here?" Aof smiled at her and took a deep breath. I'm a policeman." "Huh?!" the others shouted almost in unison. "Policeman?" asked Coco. "Wait, wait. You're a police officer? No offense, but you know Sun, right?" "Ha ha... very funny." said Sun and pouted. "Yes Coco, I know Sun." said Aof and patted his boyfriend on the shoulder. "But the most important question is still - how do you want to help us?" "Nong Aof got us the materials we need." "What do you mean?" "I have microphones and certain devices that can help you." "Aren't you risking your job?" "No. Not directly, anyway. I got the devices from my brother-in-law. I'm not directly connected to these parts, but I'll help you secure the data. From Bangkok." "From Bangkok?" Aof nodded. "I'll be there the whole time. Sun and I will communicate with each other via headphones and if he has a confession that is useful, I will make sure that everything is passed on." The friends nodded and Khao looked over at Sun. "Aof, you're putting yourself in danger to help us? Either you really love Sun or you're completely crazy." "Isn't that kind of the same thing?" asked Sun and immediately received another light slap on the shoulder. "P'Sun. Shut up." said Aof and looked at him angrily.

"Can I come in ?" Sun asked Khaotung, who stood in the kitchen, preparing some food. "Yeah, come in. Where are the others ?" "Coco and Arya are in the livingroom and First and Aof are in the diningroom, working on a way to connect the microphones to the software on the computer." "I see." Khaotung replied. "So you got yourself a policeman, huh ?" "Ironic, isn't it ?" "Yeah, it is." Sun looked at Khaotung, but the younger wasn't looking at him. He was chopping some veggies and Sun tried to soak in every second of their little, "meaningless", normal conversation. "How did you two meet ?" Khaotung suddenly asked, turning around and looking at Sun. "That's a long story.." Khao took a sharp breath and nodded, turned briefly to the stove and then back to Sun. "Well, the food still needs some time... I have time?" he said and Sun felt a spark jump in his heart. Smiling, he sat down and tapped the chair next to him where Khaotung sat down. "Aof and I have known each other since school." "That's a damn long time." "I met him when I was 16. He was 15, in another class and I fell in love with him immediately." "Suns smile grew wider. "There hasn't been a day in 25 years that I haven't loved him." "You've been in love with him for 25 years?" Sun nodded. "I fell in love with him immediately. Back then he had square glasses and braces. Aof was one of the best students and I knew he would become something really big. I was right. He became pretty hot and successesful." "Were you ever a couple? Before, I mean?" Sun nodded. "Aof and I got together shortly after he turned sixteen. He confessed to me that he had loved me for a long time, just as I had loved him. Our paths were very different, even though we tried to walk them together and make them one. So much happened and when we were both eighteen, we broke up." "You broke up?" "Yes. But neither of us could live without the other. We were... special friends..." "Special friends?" asked Khao and grinned dirtyly. "Yes." "You mean friends with benefits?" "Khao..." "Oh come on, I'm not a little kid anymore." "Yeah... I still have to get used to that..." The older one admitted and smiled nervously. "So we had a friends with benefits thing, we realized we couldn't live without each other, so we tried again and... I left him." "You broke up with him?" "No... no. I went to prison for drug possession. I didn't serve long, but long enough to make him think I had run away." Khao nodded. "When I got back, he said he hated me... I hurt him, that was understandable. He was in Bangkok, I was in Chon Buri. We called each other every day, wrote and saw each other from time to time and suddenly I was gone... when I had regained his trust after a year, he finally let me get close to him again..." "Sun - tmi!" "No, I didn't meant it sexually! I meant on a loving, trusting level." "Yeah, yeah..." said Khao and rubbed his eyes. "Anyway, we were finally together again and then I was convicted because of the incident with your parents..." "And he didn't know anything again?" "No, this time he did. Aof was the only one who fought for me and believed in me. He tried all the time to help me get clean and believed in me, believed me that it wasn't me who did this to your parents, but... then he found out that I had been dealing drugs since the early years of our relationship and that's when... I lost his trust again.. completely..." "Shit..." "It was my own fault. I lied to him and did a lot of things wrong... but still... during the time we had no contact, he tried to find out the truth and came across Kamon. He did too much research and Kamon took revenge." "Revenge?" Sun nodded and sighed loudly. "Kamon is blind in one eye." Khaotung swallowed. He knew what Kamon was capable of, but every time he heard something new that had to do with Kamon, he felt sick again. "Kamon and his men intercepted him when he came home from work and held him hostage for four days. As a reminder to stop, Kamon stabbed him in the left eye and then threw him out in a field. He lost a lot of blood and walked three and a half hours to the hospital. His left eye is a glass eye and that is all my fault... That's why I didn't dare to face him directly when I came out of prison... then I had the heart attack and so much happened..." "Sun, you know it's not your fault, right?" Sun said nothing, he just looked down. "This feels weird to say, but honestly Sun, it wasn't your fault. It's Kamons fault. His fault alone. He's a monster and I swear to you, I'll make sure that piece of shit gets his punishment." Sun nodded and smiled proudly. "Khao, Sun?" said First and the two turned towards the door. "First and I are ready." Said Aof and held up the microphones. "I want to show you how to connect them and where you can attach them to your clothing." "We're coming over to the diningroom now." said Khao and the two nodded before leaving. Khaotung stood up and gave Sun a quick smile and suddenly, Sun felt confident. "Khaotung..?" said Sun and when the boy stopped and turned to him, a questioning look on his face, he was suddenly too nervous to talk. "I uhm.." he stuttered, avoiding Khaotungs gaze. "I just-" "I know. Let's not talk about this right now, okay ?" Khao said and Sun nodded, before he stood up and followed Khaotung.
