Why grandma ?

First and Khao were on their way to his grandma. She asked them to come over for dinner, since her daughter would be there as well with Khaotungs dog. Before Khao rang the bell, he turned around to First, thanking him for his company. "You don't have to thank me for coming with you. You are my family." The young boy smiled and the door behind them opened up. "I saw you standing there already so I thought I should come get the door before princess would bark." Khao smiled and hugged his grandma. "Hello my big boy." She said hugging him even tighter. "Come on in First, it's hot outside." She said and pulled him in a hug as well. "I am happy to get to know you properly." She closed the door and let Khao open the door to the livingroom. One moment Khao was standing in the doorway grinning broadly, the next he was holding a small Pomeranian in his arms, being kissed from head to toe. "I missed you so much, my baby, my good girl." he said and ran into the living room with the dog in his arms, where First followed him. "Hello, I'm Navee." "I'm First, nice to meet you." "Nice to meet you too." she said with a smile and turned back to Khao. "Maybe I'll get a hug from you too?" she said with a laugh and Khao didn't need to be told twice. "I missed you my son." She said, hugging him tightly. "Missed you too aunt Navee." "Come sit down boys. Food's ready." His grandma said.

Hours passed by. The Chilli lime noodles were delicious and the cake that Navee baked was gone in a blink of an eye as well.
"You two are such a cute couple." Navee said, making both boys smile. "Thank you." "You have a very handsome boyfriend Khao." She added, making First blush and Khao smile proudly. "I know. He's so handsome, I feel like fainting whenever I look at him." "Ow nong Khao.." First said shy.
"I am happy to see you so happy." Khaotungs grandma said. "Oh look who just woke up." Navee said, pointing to Khaos dog who just came back into the livingroom and walked straight over to First. The tall boy lifted the small dog up on his lap and looked at her. "Hello little one." He said and the small dog began to wag her tail. "She likes you." "Really ?" "Yeah, she's a diva. She doesn't wag her tail for just anyone." Khao said giggling. "I like you too." First said and scratched her ear. "I guess you guys have two kids now." Navee said. "You told her about Min ?" "Of course I told her about my grandchild ! But I didn't have any pictures." His grandma said. "Ow, wait I'll show you." First said, grabbed his phone and showed her a picture that made her smile widely. "My god he looks like a mini version of you two." Navee said, making the two dads feel proud. "This picture is really cute. Can you send it to me ?" "Which photo did you show her?" asked Khao, but First just grinned. "First?" he asked, smiling again and picked up the phone. There was a photo of a sleeping Khaotung, who was holding the little sleeping boy in his arms. "Ow, Fir fir I look so weird !" "You look cute !" He answered and chuckled.

Chatting with each other, no one noticed the door being opened. The small family enjoyed their time together until someone unexpected suddenly appeared in the room. "What are you doing here?" asked Navee annoyed. "I'm visiting our mother. Hello Khaotung, how are you?" Khao ignored Sun and First grabbed his hand under the table. Princess growled and barked like crazy, but Sun skillfully ignored that. "You better get out of here-" "Navee, that's enough." "Mae..?" "I allowed him to come so he doesn't have to cook." Khaotung looked at his grandma. "Are you serious?" he asked angrily. "Yes, Sun just came out of the hospital Khao, what do you expect me to do ?" "Anything, but not inviting him when I'm here?! I thought you wanted to meet First." "I did ! I really did !" "Well it doesn't seem like it." "Khao, please don't get so worked up!" "What did you expect, grandma? I'm disappointed!" She looked at Khao apologetically. "Pumpkin, please-" "Come on, First, let's go." Navee looked at her mother and shook her head before she too stood up and left the room. She bumped Sun with her shoulder to let him feel her dislike and followed Khao and First into the hallway. "Kids, please!" Khao's grandma called, but they didn't react. "Don't you think you're exaggerating a bit?" "Don't you dare talking you piece of shit." Navee said. "I am really disappointed in you mae. I thought.. no. WE thought you wanted us to get to know First. To have a nice evening together. You lured us into a trap. Did you think we were going to sit and talk to Sun about the good old days when he KILLED my best friend, my sister, KHAOTUNGS PARENTS?!" "Come on-" "Shut your damn mouth, Sun." Khao burst out. Navee put Princess's harness and leash on and closed the door behind them. Khao was hurt and disappointed. He just walked away without looking back. "Baby, please stop." First called after him. "Khaotung..." Princess could barely keep up with her little legs and Navee also had to make an effort to keep up. "Khao-" said First and grabbed the other's wrist, but instead of turning around, Khao just crouched down and cried. First knelt behind him and held the smaller one tightly to him. "It's okay, my darling, I'm here." Khao cried bitterly, he couldn't understand how his grandma could treat this murderer like that. Out of the blue!

"Come on baby, we're going home." said First, but the other one just turned around in his arms and pressed his face against his chest. Navee tapped First on the shoulder and he turned his head back. Without saying anything, she held out the leash to him. She was sure Khao needed his Princess now. "Khaotung, I'll take a walk and after that I'm going to talk to mae. I'll get in touch with you." Khao didn't answer, he just cried in Firsts arms. The older one tried to control himself and not run back and beat Sun with all the strength he had. He stroked Khao's back and tried to calm his boyfriend down. "Come on, let's go home." Khao took Princess in his arms. Sniffling, he walked next to First, who opened the car door for him and buckled him in. He pressed a kiss on his cheek before closing the door and getting in himself. It was quiet the whole way. Khao cuddled with his dog and the only thing that could be heard from him now and then were little sniffles.

Khao and First were in the elevator on their way to Firsts condo. Pets were allowed at his place, so they decided to spend some time here until Princess would leave again with Navee. Khao was here for the first time, as they usually spent their time either at Firsts parents' or in his own condo. He still felt a bit awkward, but Princess seemed to be comfortable. So comfortable that she actually peed in the middle of the living room. "I'm sorry, First, she sometimes pees when she's happy." "No problem, what kind of father would I be if I got mad about it." joked the older one, and somehow that made Khao cry again. "Oh, well, well, my baby." said First, closing the door and hugging Khao. "I'm sorry." "You don't have to apologize for anything, my darling." "What would I do without you?" "You shouldn't even ask yourself that, honey, because I'm here by your side and I always will be." Khao nodded. "We still have about three hours until we have to pick up Singto." First pulled Khao to the couch and gave him a kiss. "Do you want to watch a movie and cuddle?" Khao nodded. He had to process the crap he'd just seen and what would help better than cuddling with his calming influence.
