"What's your ability?" Lin Keren asked.
"I can see death. The target is uncontrollable. It could be myself, someone close to me, or even someone I don't know." As soon as she said this, everyone in the car gasped.
Precognition. What a powerful ability! What are humans most afraid of? The future!! If someone could know what was going to happen in the future, they'd be invincible.
Although she could only sense death, this ability was definitely a hot commodity. If she could know about someone's death in advance, she might even be able to change the course of events.
"If the Doctor found out about your ability, he would do anything to get you. Before this, he was planning how to bring you into Blue Star." Lin Keren said, frowning.
That old man had been planning all this for one purpose, but even she only knew a little about it.
The only thing she knew for sure was that the super-anti body was something he desperately wanted, something he'd do anything to get. Now, another person in this team had successfully activated the metal ability. This was something he wanted too.
It seemed they would be meeting again soon. The Doctor wanted them so desperately. So, Mo Ran and Zhang Wan Ying's lives were in danger.
"Your companion, Mo Ran, activated an ability that could kill her." He Shang's voice was unusually low. "Because there is more than one person with the native metal ability."
Hearing that it could be fatal, even Huang Shan, who was resting in the back, crawled to the front. But the next thing He Shang said nearly shattered their worldview...
Mo Ran opened her eyes groggily. Her head still ached slightly. Her lips were dry, and she involuntarily stuck out her tongue and licked them. Soon, a bottle of water was brought to her lips.
She took a few sips, her dry lips becoming moist. She finally woke up completely. The first thing she saw was a face inches from hers. She could even see the tiny pores in the skin.
Her own reflection was visible in the depths of those black pupils, those beautiful eyeballs, like black onyx stones.
"It's great you're finally awake." The close-up crimson lips moved, saying something.
But she didn't listen. She just stared at her blankly, until the other person used a cool hand to check her forehead. She sighed in relief.
"You had a fever all night. I've been using ice water to cool you down because there weren't any fever medications. You know, your temperature was scary high." The gentle voice spoke with a tinge of fear.
"I, did I escape?" Mo Ran asked hesitantly, averting her gaze, shrinking back a little from the other person.
"Yeah, Miss Lin said it was thanks to you that they were able to escape. They're all in the living room now." Zhang Wan Ying, unaware of anything unusual, said as she climbed out of bed.
Mo Ran's eyes followed her movement, and she finally saw where she was. The familiar ceiling and sheets, it was Mo Bai's room.
Was she home now?
Then, where was her mom?!
She jumped up instantly, a jolt of energy coursing through her. She didn't even have time to put on her slippers before she ran out. The person behind her was startled by her sudden movement and momentarily forgot to grab her.
As she opened the bedroom door, a blinding beam of sunlight shone through, nearly blinding her.
The curtains had been drawn in the room, and she had been sleeping for a long time. Her eyes were not used to the light.
