Lin Keren snorted coldly, withdrawing her hand but still staring at her with a piercing gaze. "You're so reckless. Tell me, how many escaped before I got here?"

The woman cowered, shaking her head slightly, wanting to refuse to answer. But seeing that terrifying gaze, she hesitated for a moment, then cautiously gave a number.

She added that she had only seen others escape, so she had followed suit. In other words, she wasn't the main culprit, hoping for leniency.

Lin Keren was shocked by the number. After arriving, she had tried to contact the higher-ups, but all she got was busy tones. She couldn't get in touch with the other members of the guard team either. She had guessed that someone had already gone to the upper levels, but she didn't expect there to be so many.

Ordinary researchers were no match for them.

Moreover, these people harbored a deep hatred for the researchers. Now, she could only hope that the ability force on the upper levels could hold out for a while. She still needed to deal with the problems down here and couldn't go back up for now.

Mo Ran frowned and interrupted her thoughts. "Wait, sorry to interrupt, but what do you mean by the people who escaped?"

Lin Keren turned to look at the culprit who had released those people. Perhaps, she could ask this girl for help.

So, she explained the situation in a rather formulaic way, emphasizing who was responsible for all of this.

"So you're saying that the hole I made destroyed the entire communication system, causing the rooms inside to lose their defenses, and that's why all the ability users who were being held captive escaped, including some very dangerous monsters?"

Mo Ran asked with difficulty, her face turning pale when she received confirmation. She hadn't intended to harm the researchers, and she didn't have that kind of thought. Although the researchers were despicable, it wasn't her place to punish them.

Now, hearing that she might have caused harm to the researchers, guilt and self-reproach washed over her.

If anyone died because of her, she wouldn't forgive herself.

Noted the guilty look on the other person's face, Lin Keran sighed inwardly. She was still just a young girl, easily swayed by others' emotions, but this could be used to her advantage.

"So, should I seal up this hole?" Mo Ran came back to her senses and cautiously asked.

"No, the damaged defense system can't be fixed by simply sealing it up. Those violent ability users can easily create a bigger hole in the door," the woman looked around at the two of them and whispered.

Mo Ran furrowed her brow. If they couldn't seal it up, then how could they stop those people from coming out? According to Lin Keran, many of those held below were unconscious or had poor self-control over their abilities. Not only in Blue Star, but if they got out, they would cause chaos everywhere.

"What do we do then..." she was interrupted by a group of figures appearing not far away.

They warily approached, each person wearing white clothes with a number on their chest, resembling a hastily organized group, loosely gathered but generally moving together.

They deliberately moved closer to them, each person looking angry, with their anger directed towards Lin Keran standing there.

Mo Ran widened her eyes as she looked at the group of people approaching, their brightly colored hair standing out. Most ability users were known for their unique hair and eye colors, creating a visually striking scene when they gathered together.
