"What do you mean by that?" Qi Kui looked at the purple-haired woman, her expression a mixture of confusion and apprehension.

"The Doctor said you can be discarded," the purple-haired woman replied, a hint of patience in her voice, perhaps due to the impending doom of the woman before her.

Lin Keren couldn't bear to witness the despair etched on Qi Kui's face, so she turned away, unable to bear the sight.

"You're lying. The Doctor clearly said that if I completed the mission, he would set me and Xiao Zhi free." Qi Kui's voice was a low, fragile whisper, laced with disbelief.

"You actually believe that?"

The purple-haired woman scoffed, her hand twitching. A thin purple line materialized from her pinky, a wisp of ethereal energy connecting to Qi Kui's chest.

With a gentle tug, Qi Kui clutched her chest and collapsed, her face a mask of shock and disbelief.

"My poison permeates the body, causing a painful, agonizing death as the body becomes paralyzed. The process takes about ten minutes for an ordinary person, but as a beast, you should be able to last half an hour." The purple-haired woman chuckled, stepping forward, her foot landing on Qi Kui's head.

As she watched the woman beneath her writhe in agony, a twisted, almost manic grin spread across her face.

"By the way, I'll be paying special attention to your precious little kitten." Her foot pressed down with a sickening crunch, her laughter growing more sinister.

Lin Keren, witnessing this cruelty, frowned. "Don't put your foot on her head."

"Why?" the purple-haired woman asked, her voice laced with annoyance.

"You've already killed her. There's no need to humiliate her further," Lin Keren replied.

The purple-haired woman reacted as if she had just heard the most absurd statement, her expression becoming even more malicious. Not only did she refuse to remove her foot, but she pressed down harder.

"So what if I do? You hypocritical bitch, stop pretending to be righteous. You're just as bad as the rest of us. You're telling a bad person to be kind? That's hilarious."

Lin Keren ignored her insults, simply raising her hand and conjuring a ball of water, trapping the purple-haired woman's foot. The woman struggled to free herself, her face contorted with rage.

"What are you doing, Lin Keren?!"

"The Doctor has spoiled you rotten. You dare speak to me like that? Have you forgotten the lesson I taught you when I broke your leg?" Lin Keren's eyes narrowed, her gaze cold.

The purple-haired woman gritted her teeth, her whole body trembling with fury. After a moment, she reluctantly clicked her tongue. If the Doctor hadn't explicitly forbidden Lin Keren from harming her, she wouldn't have to endure this humiliation!

Even though Lin Keren was stronger, her life was still in her hands. This thought brought a sliver of satisfaction to her heart.

Her poison element ability didn't allow her to create poison, but she could control all poisons. She could poison someone or draw poison out of them, even manipulate poison within a body without causing harm.

It was like an invisible bomb, detonated at her whim. This was why she could easily kill an Ability User.

Because their hearts were already laced with her poison, controlled by her will. Her ability wasn't suited for the front lines, but it was perfect for stealth and crowd control. The Doctor valued her highly because of this ability.
