Her words startled the two. They all ran towards the exit. The research institute had seven floors, and they were on the bottom floor. If the elevator was working, it should take two minutes to reach the ground floor. But the explosion range was unclear. Even if they reached the ground floor, they still needed to get far away.

They ran to the elevator entrance, but the numbers above stopped at the third floor. No matter how they pressed the buttons, the elevator didn't respond. They immediately turned towards the stairs.
