He tried to avoid the party.

"Is the world ok?" Chase questions Boulder, giving a face that isn't normal for the police bot to have.
"Why do you ask?" Boulder says, just double checking since he is clearly lost.
"So I was double checking to make sure everyone was heading out to the party and I got the usual responses. Heatwave just had to finish one little thing and then was complaining about going but he kind of has to." Chase explains. "But Blades told me he doesn't want to go."
"What?" Boulder couldn't believe what he just heard. "But Blades loves parties."
"I know, I asked him about it but he wouldn't budge." Chase says. "Has he said anything to you?"
"He hasn't told me anything." Boulder says, thinking about what might make Blades reconsider a party despite loving them so much. "You know, I think I know why he might want to avoid this party."
"Already with an assumption?" Chase says, surprised.
"Yeah but I don't think you'll understand some things." Boulder decided to give it a shot. "Have your creators or even any mentor done something that makes you embarrassed?"
"Embarrassed, no. Upset, yes." He responds.
"Ok well, I think Blades doesn't want to go because he slightly fears that Ratchet will do something he finds embarrassing."
"Ratchet wouldn't do that though." Chase still didn't seem to understand what was being said to him.
"Maybe to Ratchet but do we really know what Blades is thinking about half the time?" Boulder questions.
"I assure you that Ratchet isn't going to do that." Chase says. "Anyway, I'm going to go and get Blades to head to the party, are you going to make your way there as well?"
"Yep." Boulder says, just doing one quick little thing. "See you there."

"So that's what you mean like embarrassment." Chase says, seeing that Ratchet began to dance and Blades seemed to become quite annoyed.
"Yes."
"I should've brought something strong to drink." Chase says before leaving the room.
"Yes-wait, what?" Boulder turns, seeing the bot leaving for something. "Chase? Chase?!"
