IT ALMOST WORKED !
the walking dead !
season 4 episode 4 !
LUCK HAD NEVER been on their side. luck seemed nonexistent in a world where the dead walked. where death had began to feel normal after so long. after losing so many people he felt immune to feeling anything when they lost someone.he hated that it felt normal, that he couldn't shed tears anymore. he felt gross, like he was a bad person for no longer being fazed. he should still feel something when people die, because then their gone, and there no seeing them again.
he hadn't felt anything when people were on the verge of death in a long time. yet, seeing colette on deaths door step had sparked something in him he hadn't felt in nearly a year. he couldn't lose cole, he wasn't sure if he'd be able to live if she was gone. she had always been there, since they were kids. he couldn't remember a memory that didn't involve her.
he hated that he'd pushed her away, pushed her until she wouldn't even try to make him talk to her. she'd given up. he couldn't bring himself to blame her, he'd brought this on himself.
their car had died miles back, after they'd had a run in with the dead. finding cars was hard, finding a running car was even harder. it was like searching for a needle in a haystack; nearly impossible.
they'd come across an old shop, a car hidden beneath the fallen tree. it's leaves and branches blocking the entrees of it. they had pulled as much of the tree off as they needed, allowing daryl to get inside of it and determine if it could work. the dixon man climbed out of the vehicle, dusting his hands off on his pants. "it needs a new battery." he told, his eyes peering through a dirtied window. dust layered the glass so thickly it was nearly impossible to look within the building.
suddenly a pair of hands smacked against the window, their grimy nails scratching at the glass. daryl took a step back at the sudden noise, "we got us some friends inside. come on." he told, nodding his head in the other direction. lee readjusted his grip on his assault rifle, a silencer adorning the muzzle. he pulled the strap of his gun over his head, allowing the weapon to dangle in front of him as he pulled at the green shrub.
the bush had completely grown over the entrance, claiming it as its new home. its vines were thick, their blades having to cut harshly against the plant. lee glanced to tyrese who rapidly swung his machete at the greenery, he was angry, they all were, lee supposed it hit the man the hardest. after all he was the one to lose his girlfriend. lee glanced to daryl before back to the man, "hey man take it easy, we don't know what we're dealing with." daryl told, the man ignored the dixons words. his hand yanking on the door of the building, the wood cracked at the force. "dude" lee tried, his eyes squinted at the man. if tyrese continued to act out of anger he'd eventually get them killed, they had no idea how many of the dead resided within the shop.
