OKAY So for context, Nico is in a wheelchair this story---NOT a medical wheelchair, a manual wheelchair

Nico rolled up to the infirmary, turning his wheelchair around just before he got to the first step. He placed one arm securely on the metal railing, his other hand reaching across his lap to grasp the opposite wheel that was next to the railing. He maneuvered himself up, bracing his arm on the railing and rolling the wheel back, tilting his body at the right time to get up the step. He grunted when he reached the top step, only slightly out of breath.

He wheeled around and straight through the door, past the front desk, and to the back where he knew Will would be. A small smile graced his face as he made his way down the fluorescent bright hallway. He passed doorways and stopped in front of one when he saw one of the younger campers, Harley, getting stitches out of his leg. He sat on a small cot as Kayla sat on a stool, carefully working on the stitches.

Nico paused and rapped his knuckles lightly on the door frame. Harley's eyes were squeezed shut, but he opened them at the noise. He lit up when he saw Nico.

"Hey Mr. Nico!" he said, as Nico wheeled in and up to him, lining his chair up to the bed.

"How're the stitches going there, trooper? There's an awful lot of them," Nico looked down at the leg in Kayla's lap, the now–sealed–up wound spanning from the bottom of Harley's knee to just above where his sock sat on his ankle.

"You can say that again," Kayla muttered, moving Harley's leg to a better angle. She was only about half way done.

"I promise I'll be back to sword practice soon, Mr. Nico," Harley said. "Sorry i've missed so many classes," a small line creased Harley's eyebrow.

Nico chuckled and patted his knee—the one on his good leg. "Don't worry, Harley. I can't wait to have you back but I'd much rather have you all healed and not have all the work that's gone into healing you gone to waste,"

"Yes, please," Kayla said. "Will worked so hard to stitch you up, you know,"

Nico's chest warmed at the mention of his boyfriend. "Oh yeah, then we definitely don't want that work getting ruined,"

Harley nodded. "I like Dr. Will," he stated. "He's so nice,"

"Yes," Nico agreed. "Yes he is,"

"You're in love with him right?" Harley asked.

Nico's cheeks flushed and Kayla let out a giggle. "Yes, Harley, I am in love with him,"

Harley let out a breath. "Good, because I think he loves you too,"

"That so?" Nico entertained, raising an amused eyebrow with a small curl of his lip.

Harley nodded, his dark messy curls bouncing at the motion. "Oh yeah," he said, then he leaned down and cupped a hand to Nico's ear. "I think he wants to kiss you, that's how much he loves you," he whispered, not very quietly since Kayla let out a snort of amusement.

"Wow," Nico said. "He must really love me, then," he smiled as Harley nodded enthusiastically.

"Who must really love you?" a different voice broke through, a faint southern drawl to it.

Nico looked up and couldn't help but smile at the sight of his boyfriend. Will stood at the doorway, hands in the pockets of his cargo shorts as he leaned against the door frame, eyes soft.

"Dr. Will!" Harley exclaimed. "Nico just said that he's in love with you!"

Will laughed and strolled over, ruffling Harley's hair before standing behind Nico and placing a warm hand on his shoulder. "I must be one lucky guy, then," Will said, then leaned down to place a kiss on the top of Nico's head.
