Rohit closed the door and tidied the room a bit so that they wouldn't get hurt.
"Vi," Rohit called softly, taking a seat beside him. Virat was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even register Rohit sitting next to him.
Rohit moved a little closer and placed his hand on Virat's shoulder.
"Baby," he called gently, and Virat turned toward him. Seeing Virat's red eyes and tear-streaked pale face, Rohit's heart broke.
"You came?" Virat whispered.
"I did. I promised, right? I always come back to you," Rohit tried to assure him, though he wasn't sure if it would work with Virat in his intoxicated state.
Virat chuckled sadly. "You didn't even look at me," he said, slurring his words.
Rohit closed his eyes in guilt. He hadn't done it deliberately, but it happened.
Before Rohit could react, Virat climbed onto his lap, pressing close to him. Rohit could smell alcohol on him, but he still held him properly as Virat stumbled.
"He hugged you this close, kept his hand on your thigh. You liked it?" Virat asked.
Rohit could see all the anger, jealousy, and possessiveness in his eyes and tone.
Rohit found it sexy. Virat was possessive of him. He knew it wasn't toxic, and that's why he liked it even more.
"Vi, it was not like that. I didn't notice," Rohit said, trying to calm him down.
"How is it not like that? Please explain. You kept your hand on his which was on your thigh. What was that? Tell me," Virat said, moving closer and saying it right to his face. It was a little intimidating for Rohit.
"I didn't pay much attention because it didn't affect me, baby. It was not your touch. Only yours has an effect on me, love," Rohit said, caressing his cheek to calm him down.
"Really?" asked Virat, as Rohit's soft touch on his cheeks was so soothing and calming his nerves.
"Yes, Vi. It's just you who gives me goosebumps, shivers, and love when you touch me. I didn't realize that because it didn't matter, and moreover, it was just a conversation that went with the flow, it didn't mean anything," Rohit said, but Virat hardly understood as everything felt so fuzzy to him.
"But you didn't look at me. You're bored of me," Virat said cutely, with a bit of teary eyes.
Rohit was finding it a bit difficult, as Virat's moods were changing in a second, from possessive and hot to cute baby, because of the alcohol.
"Baby listen, it is not like that. I am sorry," Rohit said, cupping his cheeks.
Virat did not reply but just buried his face in Rohit's chest, feeling his head heavy.
Rohit caressed his hair softly, to which Virat just snuggled more into him.
"Gussa hai?" Rohit asked. Virat nodded no against his chest.
"Phir yeh jo room mai tu scattered everything, what about it?" Rohit asked.
Virat did not answer anything as he was so confused about what was going on and he felt uneasy. He just wrapped his arms around Rohit, feeling safe in his embrace.
Rohit understood Virat wasn't in a state to comprehend anything right now.
"Baby, should we go inside?" he asked softly. Virat didn't say anything.
Rohit helped him to stand, but Virat stumbled immediately—he was so drunk. Rohit held him by the waist, stabilizing him.
"My idiot baby, why did you drink so much?" Rohit asked as they entered the room.
