Everyone sat in their places as they needed to have their breakfast.
"Virat, have it properly, your BP is low and don't take so much stress," Bhuvi said.
Everyone knew Bhuvi was weirdly protective of Virat, and Jaddu was of Rohit.
"Don't worry now, Bhuvi, Rohit will make sure of his baby," Jaddu teased them.
Virat blushed at that. "Wohoo, the king Kohli is blushing," Jaddu said, and everyone laughed at that.
"So tell us now how everything happened, who fell first?" Ash asked this time as they were done with breakfast.
"Vi fell first, and I fell harder," Rohit said, holding his hand.
"You guys are so cute," Jinks said, seeing his two best friends in love.
"Ro, I know you don't like to talk about it, but what's the thing with Neha?" Jaddu asked, as he wanted to know what had happened that made Rohit so upset about that topic.
Virat blinked his eyes, telling him to share. "I am here, love," said Virat, assuring him.
Jaddu and the others would have teased about love, but they didn't, seeing Rohit's worried expression.
Rohit narrated how they had spent time in the cottage to figure out whether they really had feelings for each other, not going into detail because that was sacred to both of them, and they wanted to keep it that way.
Then he continued about Neha blackmailing him regarding Virat and how Rohit had behaved with Virat, along with their fears, both his and Virat's, surrounding that.
"That's why I don't like her being mentioned... I could never imagine her, being my best friend, would do something like that," Rohit said as tears made their way down his cheeks.
Before anyone could console him or say anything, he left the room.
Everyone else just looked worriedly at Virat.
"He is just scared that if something like this happens again, then..." Virat said but could not continue further.
"We understand, Cheeku. Go and talk to him, and you both take rest for a while," Mahi said, patting his cheek.
Virat went to their room, closing the door behind him, only to see Rohit standing near the window, looking outside, with tears flowing down his face.
Virat knew that incident had created a trauma for Rohit, making it hard for him to trust friends again, and the fear of losing a loved one weighed heavily on him.
Virat slowly back-hugged Rohit, resting his chin on his shoulder. "Bahut difficult hai na, to forget that whole incident because you miss her being your best friend, the memories, especially childhood wale?" he said softly.
"Nahi, Vi, it's because she tried to put the blame on you and drag you into this mess, spoil your image," Rohit said.
Virat came in front of him. "Ro, it's okay, you can admit it in front of me, mujhe bura nahi lagega. I know she was your childhood friend, neighbor, and your first friend in Mumbai. It's okay to miss her. She was part of your childhood. Kya hua if she changed now? That part when you were kids, you can always cherish that, na, baby?" he asked softly.
"Kyu kiya, Vi? Usne aisa... I cannot forget it," Rohit said, hugging him tightly, breaking down in his arms as Virat mentioned their childhood memories.
Rohit completely broke down, and Virat could not help but support him as Rohit's knees completely gave up.
Now, they were on the floor.
Virat took support of the wall and pulled Rohit into his lap.
"Vi, she was always there for me since childhood, always protecting me, and today she decided to break me by hurting the image and career of my love," Rohit sobbed in his arms.
"People change, Ro. We can never know why, but sometimes life is like that. You don't know the reason. You can just let it go and cherish the good memories. Bad memories, anyway, don't leave us, but we can try to just accept that it was part of our life," Virat said, consoling him.
"Life cannot always be vanilla, na? See, we got each other, our love, and our trust increased due to everything that happened, isn't it? You love me more, na, baby?" Virat asked, breaking the hug, cupping his cheeks, and wiping his tears.
Rohit nodded to that.
Virat noticed how his eyes were so red from all the crying. "So think only that, okay? Dekho kya haalat kar li hai, red ho gayi eyes and nose, cute si nose," Virat said, poking it, making Rohit pout.
"You will never leave me, na, baby?" Rohit asked, leaning his forehead against Virat's.
"Till death do us apart, love," Virat said, cupping his cheeks.
"Don't talk about death, please," Rohit whispered, moving closer to him.
He said what he had wanted to say previously when Virat mentioned it in the room, "I know it doesn't mean that, but still," Rohit said.
Virat caressed his cheeks. "I will not," he said softly, kissing his eyes one by one.
"Yaha bhi chahiye," Rohit pointed to his cheeks.
Virat kissed his cheeks one by one. "Bas?" he asked, teasing Rohit's cute request.
"Nahi, aur chahiye," Rohit said, and Virat just kept showering kisses on his face, making him giggle, then tickling him, which made Rohit laugh.
Virat just adored him as he was laughing his heart out.
Rohit saw Virat looking at him with all the love in his eyes.
Virat just caressed his cheek. "Keep smiling like this and stay happy, love," he said softly.
"If you are with me, I am always happy," Rohit said back.
Virat got up and took him to the bed.
He passed him some water and joined him on the bed. "Rest for some time," he said softly.
"You okay now with everyone knowing?" Rohit looked at him, laying on his side, and asked.
"I guess," Virat said, still not able to absorb the feeling that they had accepted them.
"Take your time, Vi," Rohit said softly.
Virat cuddled into him, burying his head in his chest, feeling the warmth of his arms. "This is my safest place, my home. Nothing can give me comfort like this does," Virat confessed.
"Each and every moment, you never fail to surprise me and make me feel special, baby," Rohit said softly, pecking his lips as Virat kept his chin on his chest.
