"What happened, Ro? You called us here?" Jinks asked, breaking Virat's thoughts.
"Yeah, we had to talk to you all about something important," Rohit said as he noticed Virat was not able to say anything.
"Did you guys have breakfast? Why is Cheeku so pale, and you too, Ro? What is going on, kiddo?" Mahi asked softly.
"Bhai, we came here directly, didn't have anything. This is really important for us—that you guys hear this from us and not from somewhere else," Rohit said, not even realizing he was panicking a bit.
"Ro, calm down. We're here," Jaddu said, trying to reassure him.
Rohit then noticed that Virat was completely lost in his own thoughts. He held his hand, gently caressing his knuckles to calm him down, but it wasn't working—Virat was trembling slightly.
"Virat," Bhuvi called, but there was no response.
Virat held onto Rohit's wrist.
"Vi," Rohit called softly, but there was no response.
"Cheeku," Mahi tried, but before anyone could react, everything happened in a second.
"Ro..." Virat whispered, and suddenly, everything went black for him.
Rohit caught him immediately, but it all happened so fast that he ended up on the floor with Virat in his arms, barely having time to register anything.
Rohit sat with his knees supporting him, Virat's head resting against his chest.
"Vi, wake up. Vi," he called out, gently patting his cheeks.
Jaddu and the others quickly helped Rohit lay Virat on the bed. Ash called the team doctor while the rest stood beside them, worried.
"Vi," Rohit caressed his cheek softly, his eyes moist with unshed tears.
Everyone could see how worried Rohit was for Virat. They were concerned too, but Rohit's worry felt different—deeper, more intense.
The doctor checked on Virat. "His BP is really low. Make sure he doesn't stress and that he has proper meals," he explained.
"Ro, what is going on? We promise, whatever it is, we are here by your side—Virat's and yours. Just try sharing it," Jinks said gently, placing a reassuring hand on Rohit's shoulder.
Rohit looked at them, and everyone silently acknowledged the same concern.
But before he could say anything, he felt Virat stirring awake.
"Vi," Rohit said softly, caressing his hair.
"Ro, they didn't approve... they didn't—Mahi bhai, Jaddu, wo sab—" Virat's voice cracked as he looked at Rohit, not even noticing the others in the room. Tears rolled down his cheeks.
"Vi, calm down," Rohit said gently, trying to soothe him.
"No—I cannot lose you! Ro, you promised—you won't leave me... Ro," Virat sobbed, clutching onto him desperately.
Rohit felt utterly helpless.
Mahi gestured for everyone to step outside for a while. He could see that Rohit was holding back, trying to stay composed while comforting Virat. He gave Rohit a silent nod, letting him know to call them when needed.
Once the door was closed, Rohit wiped Virat's tears and gently pulled his head to his chest. Virat immediately cuddled into him, clutching his shirt tightly in his fist.
"They will take you away... I will be alone again... No one loves me, Ro," Virat cried, his voice breaking.
"No, baby, listen to me, please," Rohit said, caressing his hair softly. "Stop crying, love, please... My heart hurts seeing you like this," he whispered gently.
