Split Genesis:

Type: Emitter/Transformation

**Quirk name refers to the ability of the user to divide and to create new entities**

The user possesses the ability to create and control doppelgangers through two primary methods: binary fission (dividing themselves using their own energy to make copies) or parasitizing other humans and turning them into copies. These doppelgangers are biologically identical to the original and indistinguishable through standard physical or genetic testing. However, each doppelganger can possess one unique quirk chosen by the user, offering immense versatility in combat and other scenarios.

Mechanics:

1. Binary Fission Creation:

The user splits a part of their energy to generate doppelgangers.

Limitations:

Up to 10 doppelgangers can be created in 24 hours.

Energy-intensive, leaving the user physically fatigued and possibly incapacitated after excessive use.

2. Parasitic Creation:

By making physical contact, the user implants a parasitic entity into a human host, rewriting their biology and converting them into a doppelganger.

Advantages:

Minimal energy cost to the user, as the transformation draws on the host’s energy.

Near-infinite potential, limited only by the user’s mental stamina. Though it is possible to leave copies 'on standby ' meaning that the parasite remains dormant inside the host and only activates when the user triggers the transformation through a mental command. This way the user saves their mental stamina by not activating and simultaneously utilizing every single infected host. Doing this also allows the host to live normally and avoid any type of suspicion or detection.

Moreover, through parasitizing, the user gains access to the host's memories and experiences, making this method ideal for reconnaissance or infiltration.

It must be noted however that once someone is parasitized, there is no way to save or recover them unless the user themselves reverses the transformation and returns the body to the infected. Any other forceful method that is utilized will either cause the death of the infected or irreversible damage that can be both physical and psychological.

In terms of detection risk, all created doppelgangers (be it by binary fission or parasitic creation) are both physically and biologically indistinguishable. Doppelgangers can only be  identified by skilled psychics who can trace the shared mental link to the original user.

Due to the sheer versatility and power of this quirk, the user  can become overconfident. By overestimating their limits, they can easily disregard the accumulating mental strain and end up becoming vulnerable in front of enemies during fights when they become unable to utilize their quirk or if they outright lose consciousness due to extreme overuse.

Doppelganger Characteristics:

Quirks: Each doppelganger can wield one quirk, chosen and designed by the user based on the situation.

Examples include enhanced strength, illusions, regeneration, or elemental abilities.

Physical Enhancements: The user can further enhance their doppelgangers' physical capabilities (speed, stamina, strength, durability) at the cost of rapidly burning out the host’s body.

Mental Link: All doppelgangers share a psychic connection with the user, allowing seamless coordination and strategic adaptability as well as to collect immediate information.

Special Abilities:

1. Simultaneous Quirk Usage:

By delegating quirks to doppelgangers, the user can effectively wield multiple powers at once without suffering physical repercussions themselves.

The user remains a tactical hub, orchestrating abilities remotely while staying out of direct combat.

2. Sacrificial Shielding:

The doppelgangers absorb the physical consequences of quirk overuse, protecting the user from harm.

They can also be used as distractions or shields in high-risk situations.

3. Information Gathering:

*As mentioned above*

Accessing a host’s memories provides valuable intel.

This ability allows for deep infiltration into enemy ranks or even manipulation of social dynamics.

4. Emergency Escape:

The user can empower doppelgangers to unleash devastating attacks, creating a diversion while escaping.

They can also 'jump' from one doppelganger to another and be reborn as long as the copies remain. When this happens, the  new body will transform into the user's original body. This actually allows the user to have doppelganger copies across the globe and escape anywhere. However as a result, they will be unable to generate more doppelgangers for the next 12 hours to allow their body to settle and stabilize.

Split Genesis  is a very focus dependent quirk. If the user’s concentration is disrupted (e.g., through psychic attacks or sensory overload), doppelgangers may lose coordination and become temporarily disoriented allowing enemies an opportunity to strike.

Potential Strategic Uses:

1. Combat Versatility:

By equipping doppelgangers with situationally advantageous quirks, the user can adapt to virtually any combat scenario.

Examples: A doppelganger with enhanced agility for close-quarters combat, another with ranged attacks for support.

They can either fight alone with their copies or be part of a team.

2. Infiltration and Espionage:

The doppelgangers can seamlessly replace key individuals in an organization, using the host’s memories to avoid suspicion.

3. Army Creation:

In large-scale conflicts, the user can amass a small army of  doppelgangers to overwhelm opponents.

4. Psychological Warfare:

The user can deploy doppelgangers impersonating allies or loved ones to manipulate enemies emotionally.

5. Decoy Tactics:

Doppelgangers can act as decoys, drawing enemy fire while the user escapes or sets up an ambush.

Drawbacks:

Mental strain/fatigue accumulates with the number of  doppelgangers under control. As more copies are created, there will be a greater risk of mental exhaustion, disorientation, and eventual collapse.

Prolonged control can lead to severe migraines or even unconsciousness.

Moreover if the user loses focus during the  transformation of an infected host, it can result in unstable or incomplete doppelgangers that may act unpredictably.

For this reason, the user must undergo intensive mental training to be able to handle the stress caused by the mind link and to further improve their mental endurance allowing for better control and an increase in doppelganger creation.

Ethical and Psychological Impact on the user:

The parasitic aspect of this quirk poses significant moral questions. While the user may justify its use in the name of survival or justice, the irreversible nature of the transformation makes it a morally gray ability. Over time, the user may struggle with guilt, especially if forced to parasitize innocent people. Furthermore, the shared mental link means that the user indirectly experiences the emotions and memories of their doppelgangers, leading to potential identity confusion or emotional strain.
