***Happy New Year!! May 2025 bring many blessings and good times to you all!***🎉🎉🎉🎉❤️❤️🙏

A Love Letter at Midnight :

The story takes place in a cozy New Year’s Eve house party at a mutual friend’s home. The house is warm and welcoming, adorned with fairy lights and filled with the hum of soft music, laughter, and chatter. Outside, snow blankets the ground, and the frosted windows reflect the glow of the fireplace inside. The atmosphere is lively yet intimate, providing the perfect backdrop for a heartfelt confession.

How They Met:

Person A and Person B first met two years ago during a summer charity event. A was a shy volunteer organizing supplies when B walked in, vibrant and effortlessly charming, immediately offering to help. B’s warmth and natural ability to bring people together drew A out of their shell. Over time, they became close friends, frequently meeting for coffee, movie nights, and sharing personal dreams and fears.

Over the years, A began to notice the little things about B—how they always remembered small details: that every time they see a cat (or a dog) their eyes immediately sparkle with excitement and the desire to pet and dote on the animal as soon as possible (immediately is what they prefer), how they dance in place when waiting for their coffee at the town café,  how  they always tilt their head slightly when they’re thinking, like they’re listening to a voice only they can hear, how they always carry extra gloves in their coat pockets, just in case A forgets theirs on chilly days, and many more!

A’s heart would flutter when B’s hand brushed theirs or when they laughed together at inside jokes. By the end of the second year, A realized their admiration had grown into deep, romantic feelings.

The Idea for the Letter:

Person A had struggled with the idea of confessing their feelings for months, afraid of jeopardizing their friendship. While helping B decorate for the New Year’s Eve party, B casually remarked how much they loved handwritten letters, especially ones filled with heartfelt words. That comment planted a seed in A’s mind. They decided to write their feelings down, thinking it would be easier to express themselves on paper.

Though A was terrified of rejection but as inspired by the spirit of New Year’s—a time for fresh starts and bold decisions. A remembered B encouraging them to be brave in the past, and it gave them the strength to finally act. With trembling hands, A wrote the letter, pouring their heart into every word, and decided to slip it into B’s coat pocket during the party.

At the party, A watches B from across the room, their heart aching with both longing and fear. B is surrounded by friends, laughing and looking effortlessly radiant. A clutches the folded letter, their palms sweating.

"What if this changes everything? What if I lose them? But what if… what if they feel the same way?"

These thoughts occupied A's mind but as  the countdown to midnight approached, , A saw B grabbing their coat to step outside for some fresh air. In that moment before they can continue to overthink, A decides to  slip the letter into B’s pocket. Their heart is pounding like crazy but all they can do  is wait.

Will the New Year bring the start of a new relationship or will it mark the beginning of a heartbreak? There's no going back now.
