**I thought of: "What if we could rewind and change whatever we saw? Then this quirk was created.**
Sight Warp
Quirk Type: Emitter
Description:
It grants the user the ability to manipulate spatial reality within their line of sight. They can reshape, relocate, and distort objects and terrain as long as they can see it directly. Additionally, if the user personally witnesses an event (such as a crash or attack), they gain a temporary “temporal imprint” of the incident, allowing them to rewind or reconfigure reality within a time window from a few seconds to up to one hour before that event.
This manipulation is not time travel per se, but a spatial-temporal “remodeling” of that scene, based on what the user observed. They cannot manipulate time unless they saw the event unfold with their own eyes.
Combat Applications
Solo Combat:
Terrain Bending:
Instantly reshape the battlefield—e.g., raise walls, create pits, narrow walkways.
Object Repositioning:
Bring obstacles or objects between themselves and attackers as instant cover.
Spatial Disruption:
Dislocate projectiles mid-flight or twist space to bend them away.
Tactical Memory Rewind:
If they witnessed an enemy charging a strong attack earlier in the fight, they could rewind space to moments before the move began—possibly disorienting or interrupting the foe.
Imprint Manipulation:
If they saw a villain kill a civilian an hour ago, they can recreate the event’s space and spatially lock it down or preemptively alter it to prevent it from repeating. Thus saving potential victims.
Team Combat
Enhanced Coordination:
Can reposition allies to avoid attacks or put them in optimal striking range.
Zone Control:
Create safe zones or redirect enemy movement to support ranged teammates.
Team Buff:
By seeing how an attack or tactic failed, they can rewind the local space just before it went wrong, giving allies a second chance (e.g., “That kick missed—rewind the space back 3 seconds”).
Non-Combat Applications
Rescue / Search & Recovery:
Collapse Prevention:
Stabilize crumbling buildings by reinforcing or reconfiguring spatial supports.
Path Creation:
Create walkways or safe passage through dangerous terrain like fires, rubble, or floods.
Witness-based Rewind:
If they witnessed a person fall or get injured, they could rewind and reset the scene to prevent further damage or extract the person before collapse.
Crime Prevention / Investigation:
Scene Recreation:
Rebuild the scene of a crime they personally witnessed and analyze the environment from all angles.
Temporal Reset:
Stop crimes by rewinding the area just before it occurred (limited to what they saw).
Search Assistance:
Reshape large environments to aid in spotting missing persons or hidden threats.
Training Utility:
Sparring Reset:
In simulations, they can rewind the environment to just before a mistake occurred for repeat practice.
Obstacle Course Aid:
Can reshape or correct a teammate’s path in a training course.
Limitations & Drawbacks
1. Line-of-Sight Dependency: No manipulation of anything not directly visible at the time of use. Cameras or recordings do not count.
2. Memory Degradation: The “temporal imprint” fades after 24 hours; the longer they wait to manipulate a past event, the weaker the effect.
3. Personal Witness Clause: Only events the user has personally witnessed live can be temporally manipulated—not heard about or watched on video.
4. Scale Limits: The larger the spatial manipulation, the more stamina it drains. Overuse can lead to nosebleeds, nausea, or temporary blindness.
5. Visual Fatigue: Eyestrain builds up with extended use—too much manipulation leads to blurred vision, limiting their effectiveness.
6. Cooldown Mechanic: After a significant temporal rewind, the quirk requires a brief cooldown (2–15 seconds) before being used again.
