Kabanata 1

"I'm the president of Lewis Oil & Gas Co.," he said, offering his hand.

Agad ko namang tinanggap ang kamay niya, hindi ko akalain na siya pala yung may ari ng oil company.

"Louisiana Reign Dawson, president of Dawson Airlines," I replied with a smile.

"Shall we start?" I asked. He nodded in agreement.

Umupo na kaming dalawa at sinimulan naming pag usapan ang tungkol sa aming negosyo. Inalok ko pa siya ng maiinom, pero tumanggi na siya sa akin.

"Dawson Airlines is at a pivotal moment," I began. "Our passenger numbers continue to grow, and there's increasing demand for sustainable travel. Partnering with your company can help us achieve our goals."

"What exactly are you offering, Ms. Dawson?" He asked, raising a brow.

"A long-term partnership. We need an exclusive supplier for the oil that powers our airlines," I replied.

He tapped his fingers on the table thoughtfully. "Why should we prioritize your airline?"

"Because we're more than just an airline," I said. "We offer the highest quality of service in travel. Our passenger base is expanding by 20% annually, and our focus on premium service fosters customer loyalty. By partnering with us, Lewis Oil & Gas Co. aligns itself with a brand that champions sustainability and excellence."

Tumango tango siya sa sinabi ko, seryosong seryoso ang mukha niyang nakatingin sa akin.

"What's the real benefit for us?" He asked again.

"As I've said, we're offering the best quality of flight service. You'll also benefit from our company as we highlight Lewis Oil and Gas Co. as our major oil supplier." I said, my tone was firm.

He hummed. "I need assurance for this one. What's your plan for ensuring this partnership will benefit us equally?"

Kinuha ko ang isang folder saka ito inabot sa kanya na agad naman niyang kinuha saka binuksan para basahin.

"Inside that folder is a detailed proposal outlining our projected growth market trends and how your fuel benefits from us. I want this to be a partnership, not just a transaction," I said boldly.

He was scanning the contents of the folder; a small smile thugged at the corner of his mouth.

"I like it," he said, and I couldn't help but to hide my smile. "I'm interested."

"Let's talk about this with the board members," He told me, and I nodded.

"Thank you, Mr. Lewis." I said, offering my palm. "We will inform you about the schedule."

Nakangiti siyang tumango sa akin at ganon din ang isinukli ko sa kanya. Paglabas niya ay halos magtatalon talon ako sa sobrang saya.

"Yes!" I said happily.

Sa wakas may oil company ng mag ooffer sa amin ng exclusive service, nabawasan na ang isa sa problema.

Sumandal ako sa upuan saka ipinikit ang aking mga mata para ma-relax ang sarili. Ilang minute lamang ako sa pwestong iyon, dahil kailangan ko agad na bumalik sa trabaho.

Lumabas na ako sa conference napangiti ako ng makita ang mga labas kung saan makikita ang mga eroplano.

"Good day, Ma'am." Bati sa akin ng isang flight attendant.
