My hands shook as I held the sword upward.
"Try to keep your hands steady. If they continue to shake you'll never be able to strike."
I shook my head, "Capitano maybe you don't realize it, but this sword is incredibly heavy. I'm a princess not a warrior."
Capitano shook his head this time, "In my homeland everyone had combat knowledge. Including the princess."
"Well thats great for her, but I'm years behind. Not to mention my arms are like twigs."
Capitano looked down at my arms before nodding in agreement.
My face flushed in embarrassment and he let out a light chuckle.
"Lets try this instead."
Capitano wandered over to a pile of weapons I had requested and began to rummage through them.
We currently were in one of the private training grounds. Before we had wandered in I had asked one of the knights to gather some weapons, I probably should have specified that they were for me.
After digging around for a little Capitano pulled out a slimmer looking sword with a jewel encrusted hilt. Little gems of blue and white decorated it.
I put down the sword I was struggling to hold and approached Capitano.
"Thats pretty..." I mumbled mystified by the shine of it.
Capitano nodded and held it out.
I took the sword from his hands. It was a little heavy, but not as much as the previous one.
"I think this will do." I said looking over the sword some more.
"Good. Now hold it up properly this time."
I lifted the sword up as he had instructed. Capitano nodded in satisfaction.
"Now lets see how you strike. Attack the dummy."
Before me stood a big wooden dummy that the knights would use for training.
With sword in hand I ran at the dummy and struck the middle.
The sword wobbled a bit in my hands as it hit the wood and the force made them shake.
I looked back at Capitano with a confident smile, "Now how was that?"
