I sat in the library a book in hand, hidden away is one of corners. It was still too early in the morning for me to start any schooling and I really didn't feel like going back to sleep after all that adrenaline, so the only option was to sit and read. I had my own little cozy area for breaks.

Hopefully, Capitano would be able to find me when he was finished with his business.

Speaking of... if Ayato was already going to have him go on a mission he must have done some more due diligence.

What sort of mission was beyond me. Maybe it had something to do with Snezhnaya or maybe it was some sort of test. Perhaps he wanted to see how well Capitano would perform under his direction.

I'm sure they wouldn't tell me anything otherwise they would have allowed me to stay. Regardless, it is what it is. I've got my own issues to deal with.

I let out a soft sigh and put my book about magic down.

Ajax...

I couldn't remember the last time I had seen him or actually spoke to him face to face. We had brief encounters over the years but nothing long enough to converse much.

He never mentioned anything about the past. Not that we had long to talk about it, but it still felt weird.

Life had really changed and so had we.

I wasn't sure how I felt about this meet up. Ajax must have been up to something. He wouldn't hold a meeting unless he had some sort of trick or advantage.

All this thinking was going to make my brain explode...

A soft but gentle voice called out to me, "Y/N?"

My head shot up and my eyes stopped on the man holding up the sheet.

My little area was tucked away hidden by a sheet. Inside was a comfy little reading spot with a soft pile of pillows and blankets.

"Hi." I said a little awkwardly looking up at him from my spot.

"May I?" Capitano asked.

I nodded my head and moved over a bit.

Capitano bent down to get inside. The sheet draped on top of him as he took a seat beside me. The space was a bit crowded now and Capitano sat close. His head almost touched the ceiling of my little nock, but it was still comfortable enough.

"What did Uncle want?"

Capitano was silent.

"Figured," I laughed dryly, "Don't worry. I suspected he wouldn't want you to say anything. So, what do you think King Ajax wants?"

He hummed, "That depends on how talks are going in Sumeru. That or he might have come up with a plan."

I nodded in agreement, "I was thinking the same. He wouldn't call a meeting if he didn't have something to show for it. Hes either got some new plan he cooked up or an advantage. Maybe hes made some sort of deal with Sumeru, but its odd that he asked for me. Usually Ayato handles everything. Its true one day this will be my issue, but hes never asked for me before. Plus the King of Sumeru also wants to see me..."
