The man cocked an eyebrow intrigued by Capitanos guts.
"Huh. You think you've got what it takes to beat me? Who even are you?"
His tone of voice was arrogant and full of confidence.
Some of the nobles began gossiping.
"Wait... thats the knight...!"
"The one the princess came with! He must be the one who saved her no way!"
"Surely he must be a powerful force!"
"But is he truly more powerful?"
I didn't know what type of magic and powers this noble had but there was no doubt in my mind that Capitano had more power.
Even if Yae said he had good reason to be overconfident, I still didn't believe he could out match him. Maybe it was me being naive or hopeful, but Capitano was no weak man. He had power that could rival a hundred men at once. How could one small noble get in his way?
Capitano nodded his head in response.
He still refused to speak in front of others and that only engrossed the nobles further. The mysteriousness of him was captivating.
"Hes the Princess Knight!" The host stepped forward speaking up for him.
For a second his eyes seemed to fill with question and hesitation. However, those emotions didn't last long. He didn't spare the host a glance only keeping an eye on Capitano.
"Oh is that so? I've heard a bit about you. Heard you were pretty strong is that true?"
Capitano did not reply.
The man let out a dry chuckle, "Not much of a talker? Fine. Lets see what you can do!"
In that instant the noble raised his hand. A burst of flames came flying outward. The people got hyped up once more.
He raised another hand and a second pillar of flames burst forward. The flames flew high into the sky creating massive beams of fire.
He grinned as the flames grew hotter and brighter. I could feel some of the heat from where I was standing. My body warmed and I had to take a few steps away due to the intensity of it.
Yae gritted her teeth, "Hes trying to show off too much. He might hurt someone... I'm going to knock him out if he goes too far."
