The carriage had been prepared with all our luggage and it was now finally time to depart. I sat beside Capitano the door to the carriage still open as Ayato, Thoma, and Yae stood outside.
"Take care of yourself Y/N. If you need anything at all send word." Thoma said with a smile.
"Just send word regardless," Yae interjected, "I'd love to hear all about whats happening in the kingdom."
Thoma shook his head in disappointment but I couldn't help but laugh.
Yae always wanted to latest drama on everything. Regardless of if it was from the kingdom we lived in or not.
"You'll do well Y/N. Just remember why you're there and do your best. The fate of the kingdom is in your hands." Ayato said in a serious tone of voice.
"Thank you everyone," I said with a soft smile, "I'll make sure to bring back good news."
They all smiled at my deceleration.
"Oh and mister knight. Do take care of our little princess," Yae teased sending a wink in my direction.
My heart rate kicked up and I shot a glare in her direction before speaking, "Of course he will. What are you concerned about?"
She only laughed at my reaction, "As your friend its my duty to say such things thats all."
Thoma stifled a laugh.
"She'll be fine. I have faith in her knight." Ayato commented.
"Well if the King is so sure... perhaps she'll be just fine." Yae said still laughing away.
I shook my head.
Yae was really trying to get some last minute teasing in.
"Well..." I said interrupting Yae, "We should get going. We've got a long trip ahead of us."
Yae smirked she knew exactly what I was doing but she also knew there was nothing she could do to stop me.
"That you do. Well then best of luck Y/N. I believe in you."
Ayato's words filled me with motivation. If he believed in my ability than so should I. I hadn't spent all these years training for nothing. I knew it would always be different than the real thing but at least I had gotten the chance to have those experiences to prepare myself.
