I didn't move any further. Awkwardly I stared back at the small crowd before me.
Yae's eyes lit up in excitement and in that second I knew I had made a mistake.
She jumped up from her seat clapping her hands together in delight.
"Princess! Come closer! I knew it would be perfect!"
Yae got up from her seat beckoning me over. The attendants also lit up smiling and encouraging me. Capitano on the other hand remained still and unmoving.
Behind that dark helmet I could feel his eyes on me.
Although I had no idea what thoughts were going through his head I knew his attention was on me.
I swallowed looking away from him and back at Yae. I did as Yae asked and moved closer reaching the edge of the stage.
She pulled around at the dress a bit looking at me from all angles. I was beginning to feel a bit shy under her gaze.
I pulled at the sides of my dress and looked down at my feet. Heat was raising to my face as usual.
She laughed at my embarrassment, "Princess you're going to have to get used to it eventually. So stop fussing and show off your pretty little dress."
Yae was so bold and confident about these things. Whereas I was the complete opposite. There was no way I could walk around the way she did.
But knowing she was right, I raised my head and looked back at the people before me. Yae gave a smile and stepped back to look.
"Its nice. What do you think Knight?"
Yae looked over at Capitano and my attention shifted to him as well.
I could feel my heart beating a little quicker as I waited his response.
Capitano looked over at me and nodded his head in approval.
I felt a breath of relief pass my lips.
Yae chuckled in response.
"Now go on try on the next dress..."
It was dress after dress after dress. I wasn't sure how many I had gone through by now but I was hoping that I had reached the end soon.
