━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐀 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌 𝐎𝐅 curses fell from Olivia's lips. They'd lost him which meant they'd also lost that little girl. She slammed her hand against the steering wheel. "Damnit!" She put the car in park, running her hands through her hair. Anger had been a living being inside her since they'd first found him. Being part wolf, she already had that natural anger to her, but when it came to her father it always won. It clawed at her chest, begging to be released.
"Hey, calm down. We can fix this." Allison calmly said, placing a hand on her sisters shoulder. "We're wolves, Olivia. Which means we can change and sniff him out. Once we find him, we mark it in our heads, turn back, and make a plan. Alright? It hasn't went to complete shit yet."
"What's the point." Olivia let her hands fall to her lap, closing her eyes as she took a deep breath. "Maybe we should just leave it alone, let the poor bastard die whenever God let's him."
Allison glanced at her. "I didn't know you were a religious person."
"I'm not. But I mean. . . the man that was supposed to be our father stripped our childhood away from us. And now we're chasing him down despite him not being in our lives for years. I mean, maybe it's safer not to open up old wounds."
Allison sat up in her seat, giving her sister and incredulous look. "Who are you and what have you done with my baby sister?" Olivia rolled her eyes. "Okay, the Olivia I know would never give up. She's fearless, strong, and would do anything to keep anyone safe. Where did she go?"
"I've never been fearless," Olivia whispered. "Ali, I'm scared of everything. My biggest fear came to life as soon as those accords were placed on the table. The people I've always seen as family have been ripped apart. I'm a wanted criminal which means I can't go home, I have two girls that are gonna be forced to stay on the run for who knows how long. I'm terrified. And that man, the man who calls himself our father, brings out my worst fears."
Allison shook her head. "You can't let him win, Liv. You can't. You're an Avenger for fucks sake! It's literally your job to take down the bad guys. That man has never been and never will be our father. A father doesn't experiment on their own kids and find pleasure in it."
"I wanna know when it all changed." Olivia said, wiping away her involuntary tears.
"What do you mean?"
"I was six years old when it started. But when I was five, he was my idol. I looked up to him. I laughed with him." She let out a sad laugh. "We had tickle wars. He taught me my different shapes and colors, he would play games with me. And then. . . then it was all just gone."
"I'm glad you had that side of him," Allison softly said, "but I never did. I only had this version of him. The cruel, cold, ruthless version of him. I'm sure it's harder for you." Olivia furrowed her brows. "I mean, you know, you had this one amazing version of him, and then you got this version. It's like losing someone."
