Elizabeth POV
Footsteps sounded over the crunching twigs and leaves before coming to a dissipating stop as Liz looked around the area with a smile.
Liz: This looks like a good spot.
Eva: Great. Does that mean I can drop this stuff here?
Liz: For now, sure.
Veronica looked around.
Veronica: I am happy to be back at Camp Triggerfish! It has been so long since I last came here.
(Y/N): Veronica, you and I came here a few weeks ago.
(Y/N) corrected her confusedly.
Veronica: So long.
She reaffirmed with a smile, ignoring his statement, causing (Y/N) and Liz to roll their eyes with a smile.
Eva: When you three told me that this place was out in the woods, I thought it'd take longer than that to get here. At least, that's what the ads at Lemuria Hub seemed to say.
(Y/N): That's because Lemuria Hub is in the Splatlands. It's farther away than Inkopolis is.
Eva seemed to think about it for a second, noting his reasoning made sense as she put two and two together.
Eva: Whatever, so can we go check the place out?
Veronica happily looked over.
Veronica: I'll go with her so she doesn't get lost!
Liz thought of it for a second.
Liz: Sure, go ahead, just be back here in a bit so we can go over our plans.
Eva slumped her shoulders.
Eva: Can't we just have some fun and enjoy the trip?
Liz: We'll do that too, but I made it clear before that we were doing this to practice.
Eva sighed for like five seconds before agreeing.
Eva: I'll take what I can get. You gonna come with us, (Y/N)?
Liz: No can do, he and I are going to set up the tent and everything together. Unless you'd prefer to sleep on the cold, hard ground tonight.
Eva shrugged with a smirk.
Eva: Wouldn't be the first time. Buuuut, I guess I'd prefer with the tent.
She said cheekily before turning around.
Eva: All right, Veronica, let's see what all this place gots.
Veronica happily walked alongside Eva, talking about the place, leaving Liz and (Y/N) by themselves.
(Y/N): So, I'm guessing you've got some hard work planned for us, don't you?
Liz smirked.
Liz: Of course, I've got to make sure my agents are in tip-top shape, don't I? And it's been a bit quiet for a while now. Turf Wars aren't too bad, but it's not the same feeling.
(Y/N): I get what you mean. Still, I don't dislike it being quiet for a bit.
Liz: That's because you don't prep for anything. Meanwhile, it's my job now to make sure it's a good reason why everything is quiet.
(Y/N) chuckled as he started putting in a spike to hold down the tent.
(Y/N): You're not wrong, but it'd help if you weren't the only one getting paid for this stuff.
Liz: It took me years of doing this before I got promoted and paid for this. Dedication pays off in more than one way.
She said with a smile while trying to get the tent to stand up.
