(Y/N) POV

(Y/N) yawned while walking down the sidewalk.

(Y/N): I appreciate the wake-up call, but what are you doing here anyway?

He asked Callie and Marie walking alongside him.

Pearl: Too jealous to let us enjoy ourselves together, obviously.

Pearl said from his other side, still annoyed the two had popped up so suddenly.

Marie: More like someone didn't clarify what was going on.

Pearl: What you talkin' 'bout?

Marie: Last we heard, (Y/N) was squidnapped by your father and you said you were asked to come here by your father, and you haven't said anything since.

Pearl looked like she realized what Marie was referring to.

Pearl: Oh yeeaaah, I forgot to say everything was aight now. Problem solved... Welp, you know now, so you're free to head back to Inkopolis now.

Marie: Not happening.

Pearl shrugged.

Pearl: Worth a shot.

Callie: It's an extra bonus to see our folks again too.

Pearl: Oh yeah, forgot you two were from here too. Makes sense how you two knew where to find us.

Callie: Obvi, that's why (Y/N)'s parents already love me. I was always their favorite to be around.

Callie said while posing happily, annoying Pearl and causing Marie to give an eye-roll.

(Y/N): Speaking of my parents, we should get back there and rest for a minute.

Callie: You wanna rest already? You just woke up not too long ago.

(Y/N): I didn't get my full beauty sleep though, you two woke me up.

Marie: I'm sure you already got plenty of sleep. Whatever though, it gives us time to go see our folks first, okay, Callie?

Callie: Fiiine, but we're still gonna go and do things around town later, and if you fall asleep again, I'll wake you up again.

(Y/N) chuckled.

(Y/N): Sounds like a plan.

Pearl and (Y/N) watched Callie and Marie walk off as the two continued on to (Y/N)'s parents' house. The two were about to walk inside before they heard the sound of tires screeching behind them, causing the two to quickly turn around.

They saw a motorcycle with a tall figure holding it up as the helmeted figure saw the two, removing their helmet to reveal Marina.

Pearl: 'Rina? You're here too now?

Pearl asked confusedly as Marina set her helmet on her bike and quickly ran up to the two.

Marina: What's happening?! Is everything all right? You never told us what happened!

Pearl: I really shouldn't have forgotten to text them all the deets... Yo, calm down, he's here, all's good in the hood.

Marina looked (Y/N) up and down concernedly to make sure he really was okay.

(Y/N): Yeah, I'm a-okay, Marina, you can relax.

Marina let out a sigh of relief as she calmed down.

Marina: Sorry, we were just worried after what happened.

(Y/N): We?

Marina looked puzzled before turning her head around as if looking for something missing.

Marina: Are they not- They should be- Ah, there they are.
