S3C Chapter 67: Parasocial

Marina POV

Marina's eyes opened up to find herself on the couch at her friends' house.

She got up and stretched, noticing (Y/N) asleep nearby.

Marina remembered the night before how the two had stayed up almost all night before they must've dozed off.

Marina decided to go to the kitchen to find herself something nice and cool to eat for breakfast, and not long after, (Y/N) found his way to the kitchen, glassy-eyed having just woken up. Probably from the sound or smell of food, Marina figured. Luckily, Marina figured he'd want something when he got up, so she did make him something to eat too that she put up.

(Y/N): Thank youuu, Marina.

He said to her as she gave him his breakfast, while his eyes were still glossed over from waking up.

Marina: I know never to make food around you unless I make some for you too.

(Y/N): You're the best, Marina.

He said happily, and slightly deliriously before taking a bite and suddenly being wide awake.

(Y/N): So, any big plans for yourself today?

Marina: Not really. Yesterday was a big day, so I think I'm going to just take it a bit easy today and do my own thing.

(Y/N): That sounds cool.

Marina: I'll return these clothes next time I come over. I don't feel like heading out in the fancy dress.

(Y/N): That's fine. Honestly, they fit you a lot better than they would anyone here anyway.

Marina: Why did you two even have clothes this much bigger than your sizes?

(Y/N): Oversized fashion.

Marina: This feels like it would be a little too inconvenient for either of you two.

(Y/N): Veronica and I didn't really think about it too clearly when we bought them. We thought "If oversized clothes are in right now, then the more oversized they are, the fresher we would be." It didn't turn out too well... Those ones you're wearing are actually some of the smaller ones...

Marina just giggled, picturing the two attempting to do something so silly, and thought maybe she would try and draw the two friends doing such a thing later.

Marina: You two can certainly be a bit impulsive at times.

(Y/N): It seemed like such a good idea in the moment...

He said regrettably.

Marina: Well, try not to mope about it after I leave. It came in handy later down the line at least.

(Y/N): True. I guess it was good for something at least.

Marina: That's more like it. Now, I'll see you some other time.

(Y/N): See ya. And thanks again for making me breakfast. Oh yeah, and I guess for taking me to the big movie premiere yesterday.

Marina giggled at his funny sense of priority as she shook her head and left his home.

Marina was happily sitting on the train, listening to her music playlist.

She felt that a lot more people were staring at her today and Marina's mind couldn't help but race with the idea that it was because now she's a big movie celebrity with the music she made for the movie, even if that probably wasn't actually that big of a difference that would happen in a single day.
