S3C Chapter 62: But Not Forgotten

(Y/N) POV

(Y/N) was scrolling his phone before running out of things to check and putting it back into his pocket.

(Y/N): No rush you two, but are you almost done?

He asked, calling out to the two girls in the other room.

Liz: I don't see you having to deal with putting on a yukata, so just relax for a second, we're almost done.

Liz said, addressing (Y/N)'s impatience before she and Veronica exited the room a minute later.

Veronica: How does it look?

Veronica asked as she gave a little spin while Liz just stood there casually with her arms crossed.

(Y/N): Beautiful as always.

Veronica smiled happily while Liz cleared her throat.

(Y/N): Your traditional outift also looks great.

Liz: That's better.

Veronica: Now you put your yukata on!

Veronica said cheerfully with a smile, but it was now (Y/N)'s turn to look embarrassed, catching Liz's attention.

(Y/N): I already told you, I'm not sure if I'm really a yukata guy.

Veronica: But I bought it just for you! You always get out of putting one on, but not this time.

(Y/N): I'm already dressed in my outfit.

Veronica: You can just wear the yukata over your outfit.

Liz: Why even bother pushing back? You know we're going to get you into the yukata by the end of this one way or another.

(Y/N) was silent for a moment.

(Y/N): I don't see how-

Liz, Veronica, and (Y/N) were all walking down the path in their yukatas, (Y/N) looking dejected that they managed to get him in a yukata.

Veronica: Do you two see Eva anywhere? She said she was around here.

The three looked around before Liz spotted her.

Liz: Found her.

Liz said aloud to the others with a point in the direction of the Inkling girl walking over with a few sticks of dango.

Eva: Mmm!

She spoke with the food muffling her words while waving to them.

Liz: You wanna try that again?

Liz said, causing Eva to swallow the food she was chewing.

Eva: I said finally you three are here!

(Y/N): Finally? We weren't that late, yet you already started picking at the festival's food without us.

Eva: I got on an early train. I figured since you said the bon festival was more than one day, they'd probably have a ton of stuff to check out, so why not get started early?

Eva said as she offered some dango to the other three which they accepted. Taking note of the yukata (Y/N) was wearing.

Eva: I didn't take you for a yukata kind of guy.

(Y/N): Me neither.

(Y/N) said as he looked over at the two innocent-looking girls, Liz and Veronica, as he remembered the struggle where they forcibly dressed him into the yukata.
