S3C Chapter 75: Private Plans

(Y/N) POV

(Y/N) laughed alongside Callie at the joke she had just stated.

Callie: Yeah, so I ended up having to pay for that in the end, and I felt really bad for it.

(Y/N): At least you learned to be more careful next time.

Callie: Did I?

Callie asked innocently.

Marie: You better have.

Marie spoke up.

Callie: Of course, of course. It's not like I did it on purpose anyway. I'm just a li'l accident prone.

She said before sticking her tongue out the side of her smile and giving a wink.

Marie: A "little"?

Callie: Hardy har, Marie. You've had your moments, too.

Marie: That's because for most people they're just moments.

Marie said with a cheeky smirk.

Marie: But I know it's pointless to say that in front of you two.

(Y/N): I'm not too bad.

Marie stared over at him.

(Y/N): Right, Callie?

He said turning to her, but she looked a bit nervous upon questioning.

Callie: Oh, hey, what time is it? I've got to be getting out of here. There's some work I need done today.

She said, deflecting the question, and moving to grab her jacket and leave.

Callie: It was great seeing you today though.

She said while giving (Y/N) a big hug which he returned despite her not backing him up moments ago.

Marie: Well, just us now. Want me to get some snacks? I hid a few from Callie so she wouldn't eat them all~.

She said trying to tempt him.

(Y/N): Actually, I should really get out of here too. I've got to be some place.

He said, declining her offer.

Marie: Oh. What is it?

(Y/N): You know, just... one of those things.

He said with a small chuckle.

(Y/N): If I'm late, I'll be in trouble.

Marie: Have you got a date I don't know about?

Marie asked skeptically, trying to tease him.

(Y/N): Wha- No! Nothing like that.

Marie chuckled.

Marie: It's fine. I won't hold you. So get outta here already.

She said, jokingly pretending to be mean and kicking him out.

(Y/N) smiled back at her.

(Y/N): Right. I'll see you later.

He said, happily waving to her, with her returning a wave from her seat as he left her apartment.

Marie: I do wish you would share more with me though.

She said to herself with a sigh as the door shut behind him.
