S3C Chapter 84: Chasing A Dream

I would first like to thank you all once again as this story passes another milestone with how it has now passed 25,000 votes. I couldn't be more thankful for you all.

Second, I was planning for this to be the last chapter before I put this story on hiatus, which makes me happy we crossed 25,000 votes first. I'm not sure though, I haven't made up my mind yet on that or not, but if you don't see a new chapter in two weeks, you know why.

(Y/N) POV

(Y/N) and Eva were walking down the sidewalk, talking to one another, until they were called out to by Liz, approaching them from behind.

Liz: Hey, wait up!

(Y/N): Yo, what's up, Liz?

Eva: Did Veronica text you too?

Liz: Yeah, do either of you know what's going on? She said it was an emergency.

(Y/N): Not a clue. Sounded like one of Veronica's surprises though. Eva and I were hanging out together when she texted us.

Eva: I'm surprised you're getting here after us. Were you farther away than us? I thought you were home today.

Liz: Yeah, yeah, something like that.

Liz said unconvincingly while (Y/N) leaned over to whisper openly to Eva.

(Y/N): Sounds like someone struggling to get up out of bed.

Liz: I can hear you, y'know.

(Y/N) just whistled while ignoring that he did anything.

Eva: Let's just go and see what it is Veronica called us here for.

Eva suggested as the three now walked together until eventually spotting Veronica standing around waiting for her guests to arrive.

Veronica spotted the three of them and put her phone away to wave to the three of them as they closed the distance between them.

Veronica: I am glad you three made it here okay!

She said happily.

Liz: What's the emergency you messaged about?

(Y/N): Yeah, why did you invite us here, of all places?

(Y/N) said, referring to the classic location she had asked them to come to.

Veronica: I just wanted to hang out with you all today. And this was where I wanted to do it. It has been a while since we last came here.

Eva: Am I missing something? What is this place?

Liz: This is Starfish Mainstage. It's a concert stage that was also a popular turf war stage.

Eva: Ooh, is this from your ye olden days?

Liz glared.

Liz: No, this is more (Y/N) and Veronica's time. But it was a fun place to battle.

Veronica: Now, let us check it out. It is also right along the beach, so we can relax there if we want too.

Eva: You said it was a concert stage; do we gotta pay to go inside?

Liz: Not unless there's a concert scheduled.

(Y/N): And do you care to pay anyway?

Eva smiled mischievously with her hands resting on the back of her head as she followed the other three into the area.
