"NOT ALL LIGHT IS GOOD, NOT ALL DARK IS EVIL"
Their meeting was fated. She was the goddess for him, while he was just a mistake for her.
"Firstly, it's Adrian Salvatore, but you can call me anything you want. And secondly, I came here to make a deal...

The air was heavy with an ominous silence, like the moment before a storm unleashes its full fury upon the world. Then, in an instant, the very fabric of reality seemed to tear apart. A deafening roar shook the ground beneath my feet, sending tremors through every cell of my body. The sound was like nothing I'd ever heard before - a cacophony of shattering glass, crumbling concrete, and the ear-piercing shriek of twisted metal. It was as if the foundations of the earth were being rent asunder, unleashing a maelstrom of destruction upon the world.
I stumbled backward, my hands instinctively flying to my ears to shield them from the sonic assault. My eyes widened in horror as I watched the scene unfold before me. Flames engulfed the nearby buildings, their windows shattering like fragile eggshells as the blast wave ripped through the streets. The once-clear sky was now a churning vortex of smoke and ash, casting a sickly yellow haze over the devastation. The sun was obscured, hidden behind a veil of destruction, as if it too was afraid to witness the carnage.
The smell of burning fuel and ozone hung heavy in the air, making my stomach churn with a mix of fear and nausea. I gagged, my lungs rebelling against the noxious fumes. Panic set in as I frantically scanned the area for any sign of my loved ones. Where was my family? Were they safe? The thought of losing them was a cold, hard fist that threatened to crush my heart.
As I stumbled through the wreckage, my gaze fell upon Christian, who stood frozen in the midst of the chaos. His eyes seemed to hold a secret, a mysterious intensity that made my skin crawl. What was he thinking? Why wasn't he reacting like everyone else? I tried to call out to him, but my voice was lost in the din of the explosion. He seemed oblivious to the destruction around him, his focus fixed on some unknown point in the distance.
Adrian, on the other hand, was a picture of concern. His face etched with worry, he rushed toward me, his arms outstretched. "Get down!" he yelled, grabbing me and pulling me to the ground. "Cover your head!" His voice was a lifeline, a beacon of hope in the midst of the chaos.
I didn't need to be told twice. I buried my face in my hands, praying that this nightmare would soon pass. But as the seconds ticked by, the sounds of destruction only intensified. The ground shook beneath me, and I felt the heat from the flames growing closer. The air was thick with the acrid smell of burning plastic and the sweet, sickly scent of charred flesh.
As I peeked through my fingers, I saw Christian moving toward the inferno, his eyes fixed on something in the distance. What was he doing? Didn't he know it was suicidal to venture into the heart of the blast? The flames seemed to be reaching out to him, like grasping fingers, eager to consume him whole.
"Christian, no!" I screamed, but he didn't seem to hear me. My voice was lost in the roar of the explosion, a mere whisper in the face of such destruction.
Adrian's grip on my arm tightened. "We have to get out of here, now!" he shouted above the din. His voice was laced with a sense of urgency, a desperation that was infectious.
But I refused to budge. I had to know what Christian was doing. I had to make sure my family was safe. With a surge of adrenaline, I wrenched free from Adrian's grasp and sprinted toward Christian, the heat from the flames threatening to consume me. The air was a furnace, a blast of hot air that scorched my lungs and made my skin feel like it was on fire.
As I reached his side, I saw what had drawn him in. A figure, partially buried under the rubble, was struggling to free itself. Christian was trying to help, but the debris was too heavy. The figure's face was twisted in a grimace of pain, their eyes bulging with effort as they tried to escape the crushing weight of the wreckage.
Without hesitation, I joined the effort, straining against the weight of the rubble. The heat was unbearable, and the smoke made my eyes sting, but I refused to give up. We had to save this person. The thought of leaving them to die was a weight that I couldn't bear.
As we finally managed to lift the rubble, I saw the face of the trapped individual. It was my sister, Aashvi. She was covered in dust and blood, her face twisted in a grimace of pain. Her left arm was twisted at an unnatural angle, and her right leg was pinned beneath a heavy concrete slab. Her eyes were sunken, her skin pale and clammy. She was alive, but only just. I could see the fear and pain etched on her face, and my heart went out to her. I felt a surge of adrenaline and determination, and I knew I had to get her out of there, no matter what.
With a newfound strength, I heaved against the concrete slab, my muscles screaming in protest. Christian and Adrian joined in, and together, we managed to lift the slab off Aashu's leg. She let out a faint cry of pain as we pulled her free, and I felt a pang of guilt for not being able to save her sooner.
As we stumbled away from the inferno, Aashvi's body limp in my arms, I gazed up at Christian, searching for answers. What had just happened? Why had he acted so strangely? His eyes seemed to hold a secret, a mysterious intensity that made my skin crawl. But before I could ask any questions, a second, more powerful blast rocked the ground beneath us.
The world around me dissolved into chaos once more. The sound was like a living thing, a beast that wrapped itself around me, squeezing the air from my lungs. I stumbled, my legs giving way beneath me. Aashvi's body was torn from my arms, and I watched in horror as she was flung through the air, her form silhouetted against the inferno.
I screamed, my voice lost in the din of the explosion. I tried to run toward her, but my legs were like lead, refusing to move. Christian and Adrian were nowhere to be seen, lost in the chaos. I was alone, surrounded by the wreckage of the world.
And then, everything went black.
