The night felt endless as Myra and I drove from one hospital to another, each one more disheartening than the last.

The weight of uncertainty pressed down on me, and I could feel the nausea rising in my stomach, a sickening churn that mirrored the chaos in my mind. I tried to focus on Myra's reassuring presence, but the fear for Adrian and Christian consumed me.

Just as we pulled into the parking lot of another hospital, my phone buzzed in my pocket. I fumbled to retrieve it, my heart racing at the thought that it might be news about Adrian. But when I saw the name on the screen, my heart sank. It was Rihaan, my brother.

"Bhai! Where are you?" he asked, his voice laced with concern as soon as I answered.

"We're at the hospital, Bhai. We're looking for Adrian and Christian," I replied, my voice trembling. I could hear the worry in his silence, and it made my stomach twist even more.

"I just came from the explosion site," he said, his voice strained. "I was looking for you and Aashvi. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, but—" I started, but the words caught in my throat as nausea washed over me. I felt the world tilt, and I leaned against the car, trying to steady myself.

"Roohi? Please tell me you're safe," he urged, his voice urgent.

"I'm just feeling a little sick," I managed to say, but the truth was that I felt like I was spiraling. The weight of everything—the explosion, the fear for Adrian, the uncertainty—was too much to bear.

"Stay where you are. I'm almost there," he said, and I could hear the sound of his footsteps as he hurried toward us.

Moments later, Rihaan appeared, his face pale and drawn, his clothes slightly singed and dusty from the chaos of the explosion. "Roohi!" he exclaimed, rushing to my side. "What's going on? You look terrible."

"I'm okay, really," I lied, but the nausea intensified, and I felt a wave of dizziness wash over me. "I just need a moment."

"Let's get you checked out," he said, his voice firm as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders, guiding me toward the emergency entrance. Myra followed closely behind, her expression filled with concern.

Inside, the fluorescent lights felt harsh against my skin, and I squinted as we approached the triage desk. "My sister isn't feeling well," Rihaan said to the nurse, his voice steady despite the worry in his eyes. "Can you help her?"

The nurse nodded and led us to a small examination room. I sat on the edge of the bed, my heart racing as I tried to focus on my breathing. Myra and Rihaan stood nearby, their faces etched with concern.

"Just take a deep breath, Roohi," Myra said softly, her hand resting on my back. "You're going to be okay."

But as I sat there, the nausea turned into a wave of panic. What if something was seriously wrong? What if I couldn't handle this? I felt like I was losing control, and the thought of Adrian being missing only added to the weight on my chest.
