I awoke to a world shrouded in darkness, the chaos of the explosion fading into a distant echo. My body felt heavy, as if I were submerged in water, and my mind struggled to piece together the fragments of what had just happened.

Panic surged through me as I sat up, frantically scanning my surroundings. The air was thick with smoke, and the acrid smell of burning debris filled my lungs.

"Adrian!" I shouted, my voice hoarse and desperate.

There was no response, only the distant wails of sirens and the cries of those who had survived. I pushed myself to my feet, my heart racing as I stumbled through the wreckage, calling out for him again and again.

"Christian! Where are you?" My voice cracked, the weight of fear pressing down on me.

I felt a surge of anger and frustration. How could they just disappear like this? I had just seen them, and now they were gone, swallowed by the chaos.

As I navigated through the debris, my mind raced with thoughts of my sister, Emily.

Was she safe? Had we done enough to help her?

I needed to find Adrian and Christian; I needed to know they were okay.

Just then, my phone buzzed in my pocket, startling me. I fumbled to pull it out, my hands shaking. The screen lit up with Myra's name, and I answered it immediately.

"Roohi! Thank God you're okay!" Myra's voice was frantic, laced with urgency. "I took Aashvi to the hospital. She's hurt, but she's stable. You need to get here now!"

"Aashvi? Is she okay now?" I asked, my heart racing. Relief washed over me, but it was quickly overshadowed by the gnawing worry for Adrian and Christian.

"She's going to be fine, but you need to hurry. I don't know what's happening, but it's bad here. Please, just come!" Myra's voice trembled, and I could hear the chaos in the background.

"I'm on my way!" I promised, my mind racing as I turned to leave the wreckage behind. I had to get to the hospital, to Aashvi, but the thought of Adrian and Christian lingered like a dark cloud over my heart.

As I made my way through the streets, the devastation was overwhelming. Emergency responders rushed past me, their faces grim as they worked to rescue those trapped beneath the rubble. I felt a sense of helplessness wash over me, but I pushed it aside. I had to focus on getting to Aashvi.

The hospital was a flurry of activity when I arrived. The waiting room was filled with anxious families, their faces pale and drawn. I rushed to the front desk, my heart pounding in my chest.

"I'm looking for Aashvi," I said breathlessly. "Aashvi Chatterjee."

The nurse looked up, her expression sympathetic. "She's in surgery right now. It might be a while before you can see her."

I nodded, my heart sinking. I wanted to be by her side, to hold her hand and tell her everything would be okay. But as I waited, my thoughts drifted back to Adrian and Christian. Where were they? Why hadn't they come with us?

I paced the waiting room, my anxiety mounting. I tried calling Adrian's phone, but it went straight to voicemail. I felt a wave of frustration and fear wash over me. I couldn't lose him, not after everything we had been through.

"Roohi!" Myra's voice broke through my thoughts, and I turned to see her rushing toward me, her face pale and drawn. "I'm so glad you made it."

"Where's Aashvi?" I asked, my voice trembling.

"She's still in surgery. They're doing everything they can," Myra said, her eyes filled with concern. "But what about you? Have you seen Adrian or Christian?"

I shook my head, my heart sinking further. "No, I can't find them. They just... disappeared in the chaos. I don't know what to do."

Myra's expression turned serious. "We need to keep looking. They could be anywhere. We can't give up on them."

I nodded, determination flooding through me. "You're right. We have to find them."

We spent the next few hours searching the hospital, asking staff and other families if they had seen Adrian or Christian. Each time I heard a negative response, my heart sank a little more. The fear of losing them gnawed at me, a constant reminder of the chaos that had unfolded.

As night fell, the hospital grew quieter, but my anxiety only intensified. I couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong. I returned to the waiting room, my heart heavy with worry.

"Roohi," Myra said softly, placing a hand on my shoulder, "Let's take a moment to breathe. We've done everything we can for now. Aashvi is in good hands, and we'll hear from the doctors soon."

I nodded, but the knot in my stomach twisted tighter, a relentless grip that wouldn't loosen.

"I just can't shake the feeling that something happened to them. They should have been here by now." My voice trembled, the weight of dread pressing down on me like a heavy shroud.

Myra's eyes softened with concern, but I could see the worry etched on her face.

"I know it's hard, but we have to stay hopeful. They might be caught up in the chaos, helping others or getting treated themselves. We can't lose faith."

But faith felt like a distant memory, a fragile thread that threatened to snap at any moment. Just then, a doctor in scrubs approached us, his expression serious.

My heart raced as I stood up, my breath hitching in my throat. "Are you here for Aashvi?" he asked, looking between us.

"Yes! How is she?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, trembling with anxiety.

"She's stable, but she sustained some injuries that required surgery. We're monitoring her closely, and she should be waking up soon. You can see her in a little while," he explained, and a wave of relief washed over me, but it was quickly overshadowed by the gnawing fear for Adrian and Christian.

"Thank you," I breathed, but as the doctor walked away, my thoughts spiraled back to the chaos of the day.

The wedding venue, once filled with joy and laughter, now felt like a haunting memory. The decorations, the music, the promises of love—all shattered in an instant.

"Let's check the emergency room," Myra suggested, her voice steady, but I could hear the tremor beneath it. "They might have been brought in there."
